Author's Note: Congratulations... We have reached the 3rd century of this novel. Please forgive me for being in a long hiatus of almost 3 months since early February due to some personal reasons. It's really lonely being a writer. Besides, this marks a new arc in the novel so it's back to the writing board to find out what I should be writing next. Hahaha. Throw your PS at me guys and see how I would be able to dodge them. Haha... I was hoping to receive 150PS a week regularly from you guys but the most important factor is — SUPPORT AND KEEP THIS NOVEL FREE...! =*= Two healthy babies were born on Wednesday, 14th April 1441 and they were bawling their voices out as soon as they were pushed out from the womb by Heather. If not for the midwives who were ready to catch them, I guess these babies would be bounding on the hard floor instead. Hahaha...! The one that was born first was a boy and followed by his twin sister a few seconds later. Both of them had ash grey tufts of hair just like their daddy. After the babies were safely delivered, their umbilical cords were severed and the placenta was set aside to be buried safely, most probably inside a pot where we would grow some flowering plants in them. The two babies were washed with warm water and from their shrieking, wailing and shivering cries, its either the water is too cold for it or they do not wish to be showered at all. Frankly, how would I know of all this stuff? I'm a man and we men all do manly things like watching others do work, I reckon? Hahaha. After the nurse and midwives had fussed themselves with the twins and also had given something for Heather to drink to cool her down, I went to her, held her hands and congratulated her like as if she had just won a prize in a half marathon race. She looked at me and weakly said, "You silly old man. Haha. You now become an old man because you have kids already. I haven't seen them... Are they cute?" Heather asked me as I told her that I have to make a reference with the Mythical Monsters book to see if the children were categorised in them or not. Some of the nurse who heard laughed out loud while Heather shook her fists and told me to watch out in 40 days. It was a joke and me kind of find it appropriate to strike one out at the right moment. After the twins were washed and wrapped in a bundle of cloth, the twins were brought over to Heather as she lay in an elevated position and held both of the newborns in her arms. Hahaha... She really looked like a champion with two bouquets of flowers on each arm. "Your Majesty, your diet had to be controlled from now on to about 6 months later as you would be breastfeeding the babies. You would  need to have foods that help you to lactate or produce more milk for the babies." "Since you are feeding two babies at the time, you need to have more servings of foods and I would personally prepare them. The only changes you would be avoiding would be garlic, onions, chillies, curries, coriander cinnamon, aniseed, cloves et cetera." "But as for foods, you would be having lots of pumpkins, mirliton squash, gourds and many other kinds of vegetables but not much of meat and fish in them. If you have 1 portion of vegetables, you would be having ¼ portion of meat or fish instead." "But of course, your meals would be extended to 6 per day." "Old Kayla... Are you turning Heather into a dairy cow?!" the moment I heard Heather would be eating 6 times a day made me turn to Old Kayla with jaw wide opened...! "Just you wait, you old man, you. Wait till I get out of this 40 days confinement and I would be hammering you. Ah yes... Our twins would also beat you down too. Grrr...." Heather was seething in anger when I mentioned her being a dairy cow and everyone laughed at our antics. I smiled back at her as I saw the twins, this time they were sleeping after bawling out so loud and was not affected by the ruckus we had kicked up earlier. "Hey, Heather, of they are wrapped up like this, how would you know is the boy and the girl eh? Both of them look alike... Hahaha. They even had a matching pair of hair too. But hey... Theor noses took after you... Hehe. So cute... Coochie coo..." I was about to reach out but my hands were slapped away by Old Kayla and were told to wash my hands first before touching the newborn since our hands had germs that we can't see at all. Upon her advise, I rushed and washed my hand with the calamansi scented Hair and Body Wash block that Heather had named it as Soap and called the liquid form as Shampoo. After washing my hands thoroughly, I went over to touch the twins' noses and they can't help but squirm their faces at my touch. "Hey, it is me, Your Daddy... Coochie coo... Hahaha. Both of you looked so cute." "Daddy hasn't got a name for you yet and since you both wrapped up like in a Crispy flatbread, it's hard for me to differentiate which one of you is the boy and which one is the girl. Hahahha." I laughed and it seemed the babies recognise my voice as they squirmed about in the little crispy flatbread wrapped bundles and was about to open their eyes. Even though it was early for them to open their eyes to see, but I am sure they would be able to develop some blurry visions at first before they could recognise the person in front of them. But one thing for sure, they could hear and feel their mummy's heartbeat very well. "Out... Out... The babies need to be fed. Come back in an hours time" Old Kayla chased me out but before she could stop me I snuck a peck on Heather's forehead and also to the twins and they smelled... Just like milk. Hehehe. When I got out, the curtains were drawn up and no one could see what's happening inside. Right now, the infirmary had turned into a delivery room already. Everyone present was happy for me and all hugged me and clapped my back hard. They congratulated me for being a father and told me not to be naughty in the future since there would be more babies if I am not careful. Hahaha... I was lead away from the infirmary and was ushered down to Gracehaven's Greasy Spoon where everyone had received the great news. Although it was nearing closing time, Strongbow decides to run it for a few more hours since their daily operations start from 3 in the afternoon and do not clash with the meals prepared by the townsfolk. "A toast from me, Your Majesty..." as one by one raised their mugs of strong ale while I preferred to have a fruity cider instead and toasted to the men as I down quite a fair amount of the 4 flavoured cider and even mixed it with the small table ale. I was a bit tipsy thereafter and one of Strongbow's children fried up some fish fritters for me and it tasted just great. If only we have more selection on seafood then out platter would be increased two to three-fold. After we all had our drinks, we all slouched on the benches and tables and when the hour is up, Strongbow told me the tab to be paid anytime as I nodded my head and walked towards the infirmary to meet the twins and see how they had fed.
