The woman Carson had grown fond of and assumed to had rescued, was still held captive by Lord Gabez, and this Esme was a perfect lookalike clone, sent to spy and infiltrate Carson from within to take him down eventually, after spotting the weak vulnerable links.
As she moved to assist Carson, she brushed some strands of hair behind her ears, revealing a small, barely noticeable chip device, which is a direct link to Lord Gabez. She would play her part well ensuring that Carson remains unaware of the dangerous plots unfolding under his very own nose, while she wins him over to herself day by day, killing two birds with a single stone.
The warehouse was dimly lit, with only the flickering of a few overhead lights piercing through the thick darkness. The stuffy air was thick with the smell of rust and dirt, and the sound of dripping water echoed loudly through the empty space. Esme’s heart pounded in her chest as she strained against the ropes binding her wrists. Each passing breath she took felt like a struggle,as the coarse fabric of the hard gag bit into the soft corners of her mouth. The door creaked open with a slow eerie sound, and Esme’s eyes widened in anticipation. Two men walked in,their footsteps being heavy and deliberate. As they approached where she sat helplessly, she noticed a third familiar figure trailing behind them. she took a closer look observing, and sat back in shock, dumbfounded at the surprising sight standing right in front of her. Esme’s mind raced, trying to comprehend who exactly she was seeing at the moment.
The woman in question moved with a practiced grace and demeanor,an exact copy of Esme, who mirrored her every moves, expressions and body language. Every little detail right to the brown little birthmark at the side of her eyes, her skin tone and little freckles were well documented and disguised on her clone.
One of the men knelt beside Esme, his knife gleaming under the weak light as he cut through her bonds. She was hauled up to her feet, with her legs quavering from the prolonged undeserved confinement, while her look alike was immediately positioned in the exact spot Esme had been in. The ropes were tightened and the gags secured in place, while little cuts and bruises were inflicted on the clone.
The switch was quick and seamless, and Esme was immediately dragged out of the room, her captors grip- bruising her hand deeply,as she twisted and struggled to no avail,as their hold on her was unyielding. She glanced back at her clone, who now wore an expression of helplessness, mirroring the one she had just left behind.
Lord Gabez’s lair was a stark contrast to the sombre warehouse. Hidden deep underground,it was a fortress of steel and shadow created to keep secrets buried.Esme was thrust into a small windowless room, the walls closing in around her,as the only light in the room came from a single, flickering bulb overhead. She fought against her restraints, with her wrists sore and bleeding, but there was no hope or escape. The door to the small room swung open, and Lord Gabez stepped inside majestically with his dark aura filling the room with a deadly suffocating menace. Lord Gabez was a tall imposing figure with sharp, calculating fiery eyes that seemed to pierce through Esme’s soul. He wore a twisted smile, one that spoke of power and control. “Welcome Esme”,his voice smooth and menacing. “I trust you find your accommodations…adequate?” Gabez retorted,as a mocking mischievous smile escaped the side of his lips. Esme glared at him with sheer disdain, her defiance undimmed. “What do you want?” Her voice hoarse from disuse. Gabez chuckled- a sound that sent shivers down her spine. He began to pace the room, his hands clasped behind his back. “You see…,my dear Esme,I have a plan. A plan to bring down your precious Don Carson. And you, well, you play a very crucial part in it” He stopped right in front of her, as he leaned in towards where she sat helplessly, his eyes gleaming with a sadistic pleasure. “I need a way to get closer to to Carson, and that can only work with a close spy from within. And what better way to replace you with someone who can feed me with a lot of useful information that I could use to take out my rival.” Esme’s heart sank deep as the realization struck her hard like a thunderbolt. “A clone…,” she whispered, her voice trembling and shaking. “You made a clone of me!” Esme repeated wearily as further realization hit her hard.
Gabez’s smile widened. “Indeed…! a perfect replica, down to the smallest tiniest detail. Your favorite Don…Carson will never know the difference, while your clone gains his trust further. And you would remain here! Out of sight, and out of mind. Watch me as I lead their search for you, down to this warehouse,as they rescue my own cloned Esme.” Gabez let out a loud hysterical laughter as he disclosed his dangerous wicked plan. He leaned in closer, his hot breath against her ear. “But don’t worry Esme, your suffering won’t be for nothing because you would have the pleasure of watching as Carson’s world crumble slowly around him,all thanks to you!”
Esme recoiled, her stomach churning with fear and anger.“You would never get away with this,I promise you!!!” She hissed. Gabez let out a mocking hysterical laughter, the sound echoing off the walls. “Ohh!,but I already have,” his voice dripping with malice. “The game is already in a winning motion. And the best part? Carson had no idea!” Gabez chuckled, walking out of the room.
Back at Carson’s mansion, Esme’s clone moved through the halls with same grace and poise as the real Esme. She interacted with Carson and his men,her behavior flawless, and her knowledge impeccable. No one suspected a thing, but beneath her composed exterior,a storm of emotions raged -she was torn between her loyalty to Lord Gabez, and her growing hidden feelings for Don Carson. Nevertheless, fake Esme continued to play her part so well,as she monitored and fed Lord Gabez with important useful informations about Don Carson.
Gradually, fake Esme began to find herself drawn to Carson in ways she had never anticipated. His fierce protectiveness, his unyielding determination, his unexpected moments of tenderness, and his hot demeanor began to gradually chip away her resolve. “I must concentrate and execute the job I was sent here for” fake Esme said to herself, slapping her her blush pink cheeks in embarrassment as she caught herself staring at Don Carson inappropriately. She knew her mission, but each day became harder to reconcile her actions with her emerging feelings.
Back at the warehouse, Esme refused to succumb to despair, as she carefully observed her surroundings meticulously, noting the guard routines, and the structural weakness of her cell. Each day, she plotted and planned, determined to find a way out to escape. That night,Gabez returned to the lair, his countenance triumphant. “I’ve received excellent news”, he announced, his grin widening. “All thanks to your clone Esme, now I have detailed information about Carson’s next move, and soon he’ll fall. All he just has to do is unknowingly walk into my well laid trap!” Gabez exclaimed.
Esme’s heart raced,as she had to act quickly. “ you won’t win,” she said, her voice mixed with despair and fear. “Carson would figure everything out,and come for me,mark my words” Esme spat,as she angrily let out an agonizing scream while trying to struggle her hands out from the tight grip of the rope. “Gag her back.” Gabez ordered the dutiful guard standing behind her, “and watch her very closely, she’s smarter than you can imagine”. Gabez stated once more with a cold scary aura as he walked away from the lair.
Left in the shadows of her cell, Esme clung to the hope that Carson would see through the deception on time. She had to believe that he would recognize the truth and come in search for her, and until that day,she would endure and fight through this rigorous circumstances.
The switch had been successful, but now the real battle had just begun playing out. The stakes were higher than ever, with lives hanging in the balance. As Gabez’s plan unfolded,Esme’s spirit remain unbroken as she vowed to expose his wicked plans, and bring him down, along side his cohorts,no matter the cost…
