Chapter 11

1108 Words
Tally I was sitting down for tea in my back yard when the winds started to stir and whisper to me. “The child is with the dragonssss…” it said to me. I take out a breath of relief, but I know I have to fight to keep the child from falling into the hands of the demon. I saw in my visions utter destruction, chaos, and death if the demon was to get his hands on the baby. I sigh and stand up. Guess it’s time to see my dear friend Gwen and see this babe for myself. I have heard the winds speaking of his mother, her strength and determination. The winds told me about the abuse she received from the monster, Damion. The fact this mother survived the most horrible torture to save her child is truly unbelievable. I grab the two necklaces I made for them to keep them hidden, and my car keys. I drive deep I thought. Before I know it I pull up to Gwen’s mansion. I step out of my Buick, then I found myself face to face with the dragoness. “Hello dear friend,” Gwen says, stepping in for a hug. “Hi, how is my favorite dragon doing today?” “I am good, just waiting on Joey to call. He is with Marie and Oliver right now.” *ring ring ring* Gwen reaches into her pocket and pulls out her phone. “Hello?” She flicks her eyes up to look at me, signaling that Joey was on the other line. “Ok honey, I love you. We will see you soon.” After a moment Gwen hangs up the phone, and grabs my arm, starting to drag me to her mansion. “Well, they will be here in about an hour. Let’s go have some tea, shall we?” Gwen gives me her award winning smile, as we walk through the front door. We make our way to the kitchen, and I sit down at my usual spot at their table. I always loved this place. I was welcomed as though I was family. I have been in this town long enough to watch the Boyd family grow. They were all protective, kind, welcoming, and loving to those who were close to them. This town was thriving because of them. It was a sight to behold. Right as Gwen poured our tea, Thomas walked in the kitchen and sat down next to me, giving me a small smile. Gwen gave him a kiss on the temple, then sat down across from me and took a sip of the hot liquid. “So what’s new, Tally? Anything interesting going on in the witching world?” Thomas was the curious one, trying to get more information about other supernaturals. I shrug. “Nothing much. Spells, curses, seeing visions. The usual,” I say as I take a sip of tea. We chatted about some spells I was working on for a little while. Then Tom stands up and looks between the two of us. “Ladies, I have to run to town really fast. I should be back by the time Joey and his mate get here.” He leans down and gives Gwen a chaste kiss on the lips and smiles, giving her a loving look. I wish I had a man to look at me like that… in all my years, I haven’t met a man I was attracted to. Yes I have relationships with men, women even, but sadly I have yet to find love. Maybe one day. “I can’t wait for you to meet Oliver and Marie. You will adore them! Oliver is just the cutest little thing!” Gwen says, pulling me out of my melancholy thoughts. We start chatting about nothing in general, trying to occupy our time before everyone gets here. After a while we here footsteps walking into the kitchen. Gwen looks up and smiles, flying out her seat. I watch as she envelopes a beautiful young woman in a tight hug. The toddler Joey was holding flung his arms around Gwen, not wanting to let go. Eventually, Joey is able to pry the child off of Gwen and put him on the ground. He starts to walk straight towards me. Then, around the corner a massive dog comes blinding towards me, and skids to a stop before slamming into me. He eyes me as the kid climbs on my lap. “Well, hello little one! And hello, big puppy,” I say as I reach over to pet the big puppy.” I reach over, balancing the small child on my lap and Pat the pup on the head. His tail wags gently at the contact. I turn my attention to the child and smile, gently brushing his hair out of his face, giving him a good look over. I could feel his power as I look into his light blue eyes. It was hard to believe this sweet babe was part demon. He looks just like his mom, and has a calm aura like her, as well. “He senses his own kind,” I say with amusement. “I am sure he does, Tally. But then again, children always love you,” Joey says with a laugh. “Oh! You’re Tally! I am Marie, and this is Oliver,” she introduces the duo. I gently place Oliver on the ground and stand up. She reaches her hand out for a shake. I take her hand in mine and get a quick vision. She was standing on a mountain, glowing with a halo of light around her. As she stands there, gigantic white wings emerge from her back. The wings flap, sending her high into the sky. She dives down with a sword draw, with a fierce expression on her face. Just as quickly as the vision came, it was gone. “Now that’s interesting …” that is all I can say. Marie c***s her eyebrow and gives me confused look. Before I can say anything else, two men appear out of thin air, in the middle of the kitchen. My eyes instantly went to the man with white hair, an angel! And damn, was he handsome. I tried to not stare, but I could barely keep my eyes off him. We make introductions all around. When Marie introduces her father, he grabs my hand and kisses it gently, sending tingles throughout my body. I giggle at the feeling. Is this my mate? After all these years did I finally find him?
