Matthew woke up the next day with a splitting headache. He reached beside him but did not find Allison. He sat up and looked around the room. For a moment, he wondered if what he thought happened last night was just a dream. He reached for the pillow beside him and hugged it. Matthew furrowed his brows when his nose caught the familiar scent. He buried his face on the pillow and smiled. “It was not a dream. She slept here last night.” Matthew pinched the area between his brows. He tried to remember what happened last night, but he was probably so drunk that all he could think of were bits and pieces of blurry memories.
