Chapter Eighteen - Hardly Wait
Coco thanked Dimitri Panza for a wonderful dinner and asked the waiter to call a cab for her.
“Of course, ma’am.”
Dimitri smiled at her. “I could take you home.”
Coco smiled. The dinner had been… interesting. Dimitri was erudite and seemingly charming, but there was something she couldn’t quite get a handle on, and it was bugging her. On the surface, he was good-looking and pleasant, but there was something off, and it wasn’t until the end of the meal that she figured what it was.
He told her absolutely nothing about himself. Nothing. He talked about her, her work, her clients, what his ambitions were for his company, but nothing private. He deflected almost every personal question and, in the end, Coco gave up.
