terra woodlands

Chapter 2

We were driving down town, and I was seeing all these people walking on the sidewalk and talking to other people and it looked like they were having fun. It was a nice small little town and it was beautiful, I couldn't believe that I live here now and its covered with forest trees every where. It was like nothing I ever seen before. I saw the town sign when we go here and it said population of 200,027 people, well now residence of 200,029. 

We came up to the school. It was a big school with a big courtyard it looked like and lots of cars in the parking lot lots of kids drive in this little town. I get out of the now parked car and I read the sign that's built on the school saying, "Terra high school" It looked cool.

Me and my dad walked into the school and it was empty hallways first period must have stared it was filled with really cool green woodsy lockers and the farther we walk in we see this huge trophy case with so many first and second place trophy's its in like every sport for championships and even clubs in there with there ribbons that's kind of amazing and there's even empty space for more. I know its the middle of the year but I hope there's somewhere I can join I would be happy for a club but I'm more of a sports kind of girl. But anyways I've never really seen a school so supportive of all there after school extracurriculars. I mean this whole school is filled with poster and school colors there is a lot of spirit here. We finally made it to administrators office and went to the front desk they told us it'll be a minute for the principle. so we sat down waiting for the principal to come out. 

"Hello you must be Mr. Parker we weren't expecting you for well tomorrow we thought you would get settled. Oh you must be Remy Parker hi its really nice to meet you both, I'm Mrs. Jacobs. Now if you two want to talk in my office while Katy gets your schedule ready we can discus some question you might have."  She started to walk to her office while still listening as she held the door open for the both of us. She seemed kind a nice for a principle.

"Yes thank you so much Mrs. Jacobs." my dad said as he passed her and sat down.

"Okay now what question do you have for me." Mrs. Jacobs said while sitting behind her desk

"Ah yes my daughter loves athletics and I was just wondering is there any way that there is a sport about to come up or something like that?"

"dad come on really there is no need for that." I say kind of nervously and embarrassed I didn't really want him to ask that but now that he did I kind a wanted to know.

Mrs. Jacobs smiled, "Ah no Remy its fine I get it well right know a lot of our sports are just ending but there is some coming up like soccer and baseball and we also have lot of clubs right around everything around here that will be excited for new members at any time." 

"great that's perfect thank you and my daughter has already gone threw a beginner class for Spanish, sign language, and French I guess my question is if there is like an advance classes that she might be able to take."

"Ah yes she is signed up for advance French but we only have a Spanish beginner. We have her signed up for the necessary classes as well like English 11 and algebra along with choir, gym, art and biology. You dont have any history class since you've taken all you need."

"thank you so much Mrs. Jacobs and I think that is all of my questions."

My dad said while the desk lady came in with my classes. That's when my dad got up along with Mrs. Jacobs and they shook hands and then my dad looks at me and gave me a hug.

"okay baby girl so I'm going to get some stuff for the house and for your room have fun at school okay."

"thanks dad and dont worry about me."

that's when my dad left and Mrs. Jacobs turned to me after I got handed my schedule and said.....

"Here I'll take you to your first class there is about half of the class period left so shall we." 

As she pointed to the door and we headed out to art class which I am excited about I love drawing.

as soon as we went to the class she opened the door and we went in and she spoke to the teacher and told her about me.

"Okay everyone this is Remy Parker she is a transfer student from....?"

she looked at me with a questionable look at me to answer to her question.

"Oh I'm from pretty much everywhere I moved around a lot and never really stayed in one place."

 "Well that must have been an adventure for you. Well Remy you can sit there next to Jax she's right there by the empty chair."

She pointed and I nodded so I sat down and since I didn't get a chance to get to my locker I get my drawing book out and some pencils and was ready to draw the teacher was talking and that's when the girl next to me nudged me.

she whispered trying not to get the teachers attention and not getting in trouble.

"hey girl I'm Jax so your the new girl what's your next class?"

"um it looks like I have French"

"oh cool wait next class for French is for really experienced people you must be really smart. What school did you go to before."

"Oh I didn't I was home schooled I taught myself French and Spanish me and my father moved around a lot so some of the places we went to had schools to far away so I'd be out of school for half a year so i would teach myself a lot so i wouldn't get behind a soon enough I was a year ahead but my dad wants me in school so I dont miss out on the important stuff like friends."

I told her the truth and i put up my hands when I said important stuff and put quotes around them. she smiled at me and smirked a little which made me smirk a little is this what friends feels like and our conversation stopped there and we got to work and she showed me around school and I had fun. At the end of the day we said bye and my dad was there with a trailer full of stuff including my new bed and we went home and put it together. I had fun today and I can't wait till tomorrow and what it will bring.
