Rina's pov

Today I have come to class after three days. As soon as I went inside the classroom I saw Sarah sitting beside the window. I smiled a little. She was looking outside. When I went near her she looked at me. Her face lighted up seeing me.

“Rina, good morning”, she said brightly smiling at me.

“Yes, good morning”, I smiled at her noticing her warm reaction after seeing me.

“How have you been”, I asked her.

“ I have been well. But what happened to you? You didn't came to college for three whole days. Did something happen? ”, she asked me with a concerned look.

“Ah, yeah. Something did happen”, I replied unconsciously while remembering the past few days.

“Umm, so is everything okay now?”, she asked noticing my reaction.

“Yes, everything is okay. Everything is alright now. Don't worry”, I said to her.

After that we took our seats and were talking to each other. Suddenly Sarah started waving her hand at someone. Out of curiosity I also looked at the direction she was waving her hand at. It's the girl from that day. The one with big eyes. Did they became friendly with each other while I wasn't coming to college?

After noticing Sarah that girl started coming towards us.

“Good morning, Alia”, Sarah said.

So her name is Alia. That’s a beautiful name. But why is she so weird. I also remembered about how she behaved that day. Telling something so absurd to some people you met for the first time in your life and just walk away without giving any kind of context! Isn't that kind of weird and rude?

“Good morning”, she also wished Sarah good morning.

She took the empty seat beside me.

“How are you?”, Sarah asked her.

“I’m fine”, she said.

“Have you done the homework? ”, asked Sarah .

Homework? There was a homework today? Of course there would be. What am I thinking. I totally forgot about this homework thing.

“Yeah, I have”, Alia said.

She has also done it. Only I’m the one who has no clue about this. Won’t I get scolded by the teacher. But then again, I didn’t know about this because I didn’t come for three whole days. I also forgot to take Sarah’s phone number. So it couldn't be helped. They are talking while I'm sitting in the middle.

“Guys, what homework are you two talking about?” I asked them

“ Oh Rina, of course you don’t know. You were absent yesterday. History teacher gave us homework”, Sarah replied.

“I didn't know about it. Will I get scolded?”, I said to myself. I was thinking about getting scolded in front of my new classmates. And, I didn't really like the thought of it.

“Maybe you won't”, Alia talked to me for the first time for today.

“I also think maybe you won't be scolded. It's the first week of college. A lot of students are tend to be absent in this period of time”, Sarah joined.

“I'll be happy if that's the case”, I said.

“Oh but remember we have a test next week”, she added.

“What? This soon?”, I asked being surprised.

“Yeah. It's on Monday”, Sarah said.

Oh no. I didn't even touched my books. I put my head down on the desk. This is terrible!

(On the lunch break)

We are eating together. I really didn't get scolded by history teacher. So I'm quite happy right now. Oh I didn't introduced myself to Alia properly. I think I should.

“Your name is Alia right? I'm Rina Mirza”, I said to Alia introducing myself.

“I'm Alia Khan”, she said.

She really likes to talk less.

“Yes she does. But she is not a bad person. You will understand soon”, Sarah whispered in my ear.

Wha!!! Is she a mind reader or something! How could she know what was I thinking? Unbelievable, my classmates this time are unbelievable. One is spouting this and that here and there with a poker face. On the other hand the seemingly normal one turned out to be a mind reader.

But It's fun. Being with them and talking to them, it's fun. I like it.

After the lunch break we have class. So we went back at classroom without wasting time. It's our economics class.

“ Everyone, today you will be given group assignment. So make group everyone. Every group must contain five members. Make groups with the classmates in the same row as you”, the teacher said.

Hearing the teacher everyone got busy forming groups. Ok, so in the row I'm sitting in has Sarah, me, Alia, a girl I don't know and...... the girl from the other day who has two boyfriends. Ah well, I'm not sure about that. It's just what Alia told us. Umm, I don't think it has anything to do with assignment. So I'll just be a good girl and go with the flow.

I looked at Sarah in the corner of my eye. She also looks a little hesitant. But it's so little that you can't notice it unless you look at her deeply. I guess she is also thinking like me.

“Hi, I think we have to form a group. We are in the same row”, the girl I don't know said.

“Yes. By the way I'm Rina Mirza”, I said to her.

“Hello, I'm Mira Hassan”, she said.

“Sarah Ali, you can call me Sarah”, Sarah said.

“Alia Khan”, Alia said. Then without waiting for any response, she went out to get some water in her bottle. Oh my God, I really can't do with her.

I looked at Mira. Sahe looked puzzled for a second there. Alia has done it again.

“Have I done anything wrong? Why did she behaved with me like that?”, Mira asked me and Sarah.

“No, no, she just doesn't know how to talk to people properly. Don't mind her”, said Sarah.

“Yeah, it really is like that”, I joined.

“Oh okay”, Mira said.

“Hey guys listen, I don't have time today. Tomorrow everyone come early. We will do the assignment tomorrow”, said that other girl.

“Oh and I'm Neli Milford. Though everyone in my school used to call me stylish Neli, you can just call me Neli ”, she added.

I'm looking at her being cringed. Also both Mira and Sarah didn't answered.

“So what do you think about doing the assignment tomorrow?”, she said understanding our reaction that we are not buying her lies. How could she be so idiotic in the first place?

“Ok sound's good to me”, said Sarah.

“Do any of you have problems with it?”, Sarah asked us.

I and Mira both said that we don't have any problem with it.

Alia also agreed to this afterwards, so we just left it at that and didn't think about the assignment for the time being. After talking to us Neli took out a nail polish from her bag and started doing her nails.

Seriously!!! I’m looking at her in disbelieve. We still have two more classes left.

After that we didn't talk that much anymore. After sometime our college hours were finished. We bided goodbye to each other.

While getting on the bus I noticed that Mira is getting on the bus hurriedly. I guess every bus has the same problem. It is insufficient seat problem. I looked the other way and saw Sarah is also almost fighting to get into the bus. Alia will go home by car. So, she doesn't need to take a bus. It's good to be rich.

After getting into the bus and sitting down I could take a breath again. Today I didn't forget. I got my classmates phone numbers this time. It was fun today. I liked Sarah and Alia was okay, I guess. I can't really figure her out in whole. But she doesn't seem like a bad person. Also we need to do assignment together tomorrow with Mira and that Neli.

Guess I will be busy in my college life. But I like it. My lips curved a little smile.
