20 Margot Wilcox She could hear the shrieks of Angela’s twins, along with the more subdued giggles of her own daughter, Mia, coming from the backyard. Margot sat on the deck and sipped some iced tea, keeping half an eye on the trio. She wanted to make sure they didn’t get into the kind of trouble that might necessitate a hasty trip to see Ellen, the Wilcox clan’s healer, but she also wanted the children to have the chance to play on their own without an adult hovering over them.
