Chapter Thirteen
Warner
I’d been sitting in my office, working on the computer for more than half the day, before a knock came to my door. “It’s Orla.”
“Come in.” I closed my computer, more than ready to stop working so I could spend time with her. The kiss last night had left me in a haze of bliss, and my dreams had been off the charts.
She came in, closing the door behind her. “How’s your day been?”
“It’s been pretty boring without you in it.” I got up, went right to her, then pulled her into my arms, unable to keep my lips off of hers.
Tilting her head up, she looked at me with shining eyes as her lips parted. As our mouths collided, stars filled my head, and heat swept through my body. I was so glad we’d gotten that first kiss out of the way.
Holding her close, I felt her heart
