"He has been buying shares in my company for a year, and I never noticed," Julian said, his voice flat with disbelief as he paced our living room that night. "How does a man plan something for a year without a single whisper reaching me?"
"Because he wanted it that way," I said, watching him from the couch, Grace asleep upstairs, oblivious to the storm gathering beneath her. "He is not trying to win a fair fight, Julian. He is trying to win the fight he believes your father started."
