    Back home, a strange panic began to swell in my chest. It was too fast. We were moving too fast. When I had moved to Arvendon, we had fought. Every single time I saw Jacob, he was mad at me. He threatened my job at every turn. Now? Now, he was kissing me like I meant the world to him.
