My gut told me to follow the car that Ryan had rode in earlier. I felt my heartbeat quicken as I glided over to the right lane and fell in behind the car. I drove close and looked through the car’s back window, trying to see if Ryan was indeed inside the car. Even from one car length behind them, it was hard to see inside due to the heavy rain. All the car’s windows were closed and no one inside the car was smoking. Ryan smoked a lot, especially when on the road. I decided to check out the van as best I could.
