“Well, where is your friend at?” Josh asked. “He lives in Biloxi, Mississippi.” “Biloxi!” Bill shouted in anger. “It will take him hours to get out here!” “How about I call him and see if he can arrange for a salvager to come out here to help me?” I inquired. “Who knows, he may already have insurance on this boat.” After releasing a sigh of frustration, Bill reached into his pants pocket and pulled out his cellphone. He turned it on and unlocked it before handing it to me. Bill’s phone took several long minutes to locate a tower signal. When his phone notified that it had acquired a strong enough signal, I hit the green button to begin a call. As I began punching in a phone number, I paused. “I’m not sure I can remember my friend’s number,” I cautiously admitted. “What!” Josh vented.
