DECEPTION

care

myra was tired of her environment now. it's been a month  and her injuries were almost healed .she felt much better. past this month she felt like a queen in this hospital. from the doctors to the nurses everyone treated her so delicately as if she was made of glass. she was given a special treatment and she knew it was all beacuse they didnot wanted to come in the bad books of damon knight. they knew his power over the city.

eric would often visit her bringing flowers and chocolates claiming they were from her colleagues who wishes her a speedy recovery. she was overwhelmed.

but her favourite part of the day was when damon would come every evening for her. though he would only stay for sometime but he never missed a day. she undrstood his work and never complained in fact she was ecstatic coz this was first time in her lifetime she felt loved and cared.

no matter how comfortable she was , she was now homesick and upon her insistence the doctor agreed to discharge her soon even though she was not fully able to move. but they knew she was someone important to damon and didnot wanted to upset her.

like always damon showed up at in the evening. he stood at the door glaring at her with a frown on his face. " what the hell would you do that", he shouted at her. she flinched.this is the first time she was seeing him angry. the stories of his temper and the consequences were very famous in the office and they were very bad. myra was  well aware of them and she felt it was important sometime , he being the boss but now today when she was at the receiving end she felt extremely scared. her face turned pale even thogh she could not remember what she did.watching her reaction damon immediately composed himself." why did u urge the doctors to discharge you so soon" he spoke softly now.......... " i feel fine now damon,and i am bored of the hospital, i will be much better at home "..................."but there will be no one there to take care of you" he tried to reason with her.

" i am used to of taking care of myself ,trust me i will be fine" . damon seem to be thinking about something before he spoke ." fine i guess i gotta sort this out" and excused himself.

myra did not understand what he meant but he left before she could speak.

next day she was ready to leave the hospital.eric was there with her who happily insisted to drop her home. she could not refuse him beside she could use some help.

the door opened and damon stood in front of her. his eyebrows twitched when he saw eric' hand on her waist while her hands rested on his shoulder for support but quickly  changed it with a smile." damon we werenot expecting you, i was just helping her way home......" eric said.

"there would be no need for that my friend" damon replied walking towards them and taking myra' hand in his. eric let go immediately. he lifted her up bridal style and her eyes widened with his sudden action. " we are not going home right now" with that he left the room.

damon walked out with eric following but instead of taking the front exit he took the "emergency one.myra was cofused." where are you taking me damon and why so stealthily

" we are getting married today" he spoke leaving her and Eric in absolute shock.
