Hallowell A sigh of relief escaped from my lips immediately the meeting came to an end. I hated to admit it, but I had been worried about how well she would fare at the meeting. I was also glad I arrived when I did to stop Alfred from driving Bailey into a corner and possibly turning the council against her. If I had not arrived on time, perhaps Bailey would be on her way out of the pack. I subtly glanced in her direction, she was with Welwyn and it pissed me off a bit but I was not about to do anything about it. The last time we were together was in the underground room. As if she had felt the heat of my gaze, Bailey turned and caught my eyes and she smiled at me. I ignored her and turned away from her, walking out of the hall. I didn't have to admit that her smile had an effect on me.
