HALLOWELL
I had barely sat down in my office when they door groaned open and the hurried patters of feet got louder till Bailey's nurse came into view. I remembered her as the nurse who was particularly tending to her wounds.
She looked out of breath, her eyes a scary mix of fear and uncertainty.
“What?” Her very presence here bothered me and the look was far worse.
“Alpha…it's Bailey,” she fiddled with her thumbs like a kindergartener.
“Spit it out for f***s sake,” I snapped.
“Bailey's missing,” she did spit it out, but it went through me was like someone took a hammer and hit me across the chest.
“What do you mean she's missing?”
The nurse shuddered, “She's not in her room, Your Majesty.”
