At dawn Liam stood before the soldiers, his voice firm and sharp.

Alec cracked a grin. “Today the woods will burn.”
Liam raised his hand. “Unit One ride with Damian and Leila. Unit Two, with Alyn and Virelle. I lead Unit Three. Three lines, no fear, no retreat. We end them today.”
Alec lifted his sword high. “We ride for glory!”
The soldiers echoed, voices shaking the walls. “We ride for glory!”
The horns blew. Gates opened. They rode into the gray light.
Lerrick stayed back at the castle with Selene and Princess Dayla.
Ara joined Aeon in the dungeons, keeping watch over Aro.
