Emma The day of the meeting had finally arrived, and I was a whirlwind of emotions. I woke up early, but I couldn't get out of bed right away. I stared at the ceiling, trying to process what I was feeling. It was strange. A date with Killian, just him and me, after everything we've been through. "Breathe, Emma," I murmured to myself, but my heart wouldn't obey. As soon as I got up, I started packing things around the house. It wasn't like Killian was going to go in there, but the anxiety made me want to make everything perfect. Every pillow was in place, and every one of Matthew's toys was stored in the basket. It was my way of keeping my mind busy. Meanwhile, my little one was already awake and playing on the carpet in his room. He soon realized that something different was happening.
