“Gee, what time are you leaving to catch up with dad? Don't forget to take the order he asked for," said the mother who was watching the child who seemed to be still working on something on the laptop in the workroom where her father used to spend time.
"Soon mother, calm down, I have put everything in my bag along with other necessities and I have sent it through the delivery service first," the girl answered lightly and explained that she would not be bothered with the problem of carrying luggage and only carrying her body because everything is easier.
The girl's eyes remained glued to the screen in front of her, which seemed to be reading something, so that sometimes her mouth whispered a little, making a sound like she was talking to herself.
Is it true that Trowulan is the location of the Majapahit palace? This a classic question that has been debated by archaeologists and historians for a long time.
Trowulan is a sub-district in Mojokerto Regency, East Java, Indonesia. This district is located in the western part of Mojokerto Regency, bordering the Jombang Regency area. Trowulan is located on the national road that connects Surabaya-Solo-Yogyakarta.
In this sub-district, there are dozens of sites covering an area of almost 100 square kilometers in the form of buildings, findings of statues, pottery, and burials from the Majapahit Kingdom. Allegedly, the center of the kingdom was in this area, which was written by Mpu Prapanca in the book Kakawin Nagarakretagama and in a source from China from the 15th century. Trowulan was destroyed in 1478 when Girindrawardhana succeeded in defeating Kertabumi. Since then the capital of Majapahit has moved to Daha, now known as the City of Kediri.
A moment later, Gee raised his head to the ceiling of the room, her brain thought again for a moment. Her hand again reached for an object left by her father, who then compared it with what he had just read, very much different from what he had. While sighing a little, he closed the device in the form of a laptop, then put it in his bag. Now Gee decided to immediately prepare to follow his father, "The only way to be able to analyze is to be at the scene to further strengthen a hypothesis" said Gee in his heart.
**Meanwhile, in another place
"Guys...., Let's go now and start the next action!" Zee shouted while receiving an electronic message from a member named Benny who has now been sent his current position.
"What about tickets and another accommodation zee?" Draco said in response to the note of the girl in front of him.
"Nath and Aqil have arranged it calmly and currently they are waiting for us at the airport" replied the girl again while looking back at fixing some of her equipment, not forgetting to order the man in front of her to prepare their vehicle.
Two vehicles that were seen driving side by side entered an airport area in the eastern Jakarta area which looked a little loose, but as soon as they passed the intersection, the vehicle in front containing Zee seemed to be heading towards a special area that forced the vehicle behind it to follow, a moment later.
“Hey, Zee… where are we headed? Shouldn't we take the right lane?” Draco, who called via cellphone, didn't understand the girl's intentions and goals.
"Shut up Draco... there's one thing I need to do first. After all, the departure of the commercial plane is still a few hours ahead!" Zee rebuked the man as he immediately turned off his cell phone. A moment later, his hand directed the steering wheel to enter the gate of the special area in question.
"Please just follow the blue signpost and park your vehicle at the place we have determined". Apparently, the guards at the gate knew about their arrival and the vehicle, as evidenced by the fact that a special place had been provided for them.
“Zee…, what makes you? I mean we have to be in this place? Isn't this area a special area for military agencies and activities?" Muthia, who had now joined her, asked and also looked at Yaomi, who only smiled because he was used to Zee's unpredictable attitude.
Before Zee could answer, the three seemed to have to follow several guards who directed and guided them to a building to the north where they parked their vehicle, while the men behind didn't seem to talk much. But not when they started to enter the corridor of the building the guards were aiming for.
"Hey, Draco...a little weird about this place?" Panji half-whispered, while his eyes occasionally looked down when several pairs of eyes accidentally turned their gaze to them when they passed.
"Strange or feel intimidated... he... he... he..." from behind it turned out that Dody and Dedi, who also heard the whispers, replied with a little joke, as usual, were meanwhile both Draco, Panji and even Tedy were in front of him only was able to hold back a smile until finally the journey back to a halt because it seemed that several officers had invited them to enter a room where they were waiting for several people in military uniforms who seemed to be discussing with each other.
***
A room is quite large, or more accurately called a hall, where it used to be a place where certain formal events are held, but now it is a little different from that. Although this place is clearly owned by a certain agency but not by all the people who are here. Some were clearly wearing or dressed exactly as they were wearing, especially Zee who looked calmly approaching towards the center where there were two faces that were completely familiar to Draco and the others and made them a little surprised by his existence.
"Nath..., Aqil... You guys are also here, don't you think? Panji greeted a little surprised, while Zee seemed to approach one of the female officers not far from Nath and greeted the woman.
“Aah…, Miss Sahnaz!”
"It's nice to finally meet you again, as I said before if I will be able to gather all of you, and believe me, we have gathered this time," said the woman with a smile. There were also two other smiling women beside him.
"I thought this was your doing, Aunt Cleo," Zee replied with a slightly flat smile, then also shook hands with the two women next to him.
"Didn't you introduce the others?" The woman named Aunt Cleo spoke again.
"Okay..., okay Auntie" replied Zee, even though he seemed a little reluctant, Zee then began to introduce the three women to other colleagues while briefly telling them who the three women were. Zee explained that one of the main ones was named Aunt Cleo or more formally, by the names of Vice Marshal Cleofatima, Vice Rear Admiral Ida Ayu, and Deputy Major General Murthi Ningsih. The three of them are high-ranking officers from the special detachment of state defense whose existence is directly under the command of the supreme commander.
However, while Zee's colleagues still seemed a little surprised and didn't even expect the various things that the girl had said, it was also seen that Draco occasionally responded to these statements with his habit of interrupting the conversation with his chatter.
"So besides Ken Arok, it turns out that Ken Dedes also has special forces in the Bhayangkara army? Wow ... My brain is spinning, let alone thinking about various things, even knowing Ken Dedes, I didn't expect it," Draco chirped while chuckling.
"Hey, stupid boy! You think the world is like what's in your brain…and only men are always at the forefront, and I'm pretty sure you don't know the character named Matari either!” Hardik Zee felt his words cut off by Draco's chatter and annoyed him. Meanwhile, on the other hand, this woman named Cleo asked her opinion about the two of them.
"Are the two of them always like this Nath?" Cleo deliberately used French in the question.
"Well that's how they both are Miss Cleo, and we're not surprised anymore." Answered the girl who was later added by Yaomi in the same language.
"It seems that the two of them are indeed matched and hopefully, in the future, it will be realized," Yaomi said with a laugh while Zee and Draco were still arguing with each other, even though they didn't even realize that some of the other colleagues were making fun of them both by switching between French, Dutch or Chinese.
However, a moment later, the multi-lingual innuendo process stopped when the conversation that took place between Major General Murti Ningsih and Aqil used the Egyptian language which, incidentally, is Arabic, because they all happen to understand the language.
"Enough..., already stopped you two, let's continue while dining in the next room" Admiral Ida Ayu seemed to start inviting everyone to move rooms.
The conversation then continued while enjoying the dish, even though it seemed a little formal. On the sidelines of the conversation between them, they often heard words or rather invitations, especially to Zee from the three higher-ups.
"How about Zee, do you intend to join or still persist with your doubts now?" A woman named Ida Ayu who looked serious asked.
"Miss Ida Ayu, it seems that for a while I will still be like this and you don't need to worry about me, because I am still in this circle," Zee answered firmly.
I don't know what Zee said to the three women on the sidelines of this joint conversation because only Zee understood their leader.
While far away in other places***
There was a girl standing looking at the surrounding location, occasionally looking at the cellphone screen in her hand.
Located in the City of Trowulan District, this site has an area of almost 100 square kilometers known for storing traces of the greatness of the past of the Majapahit Kingdom. Access to the Trowulan Site is also easy to reach. Located near the highway and only about 12 kilometers from downtown Mojokerto.
The Trowulan site itself holds many historical artifacts. For example, Brahu Temple, Wringin Lawang Temple, Segaran Pool, Bajang Ratu Temple, Tikus Temple, Troloyo Tomb Complex, Small Metal Craft Industry in Bejijong Village, Kedaton Temple, Gentong Temple, Princess Cempa's Tomb, Agung Pendopo, Sentonorejo Hexagon Floor Site , Long Tomb, Siti Inggil, Minak Jinggo Temple, and Sentonorejo Umpak Site. Not only that, the Majapahit Information Center or Trowulan Museum was also built there. At the end of 2013, this site was designated as a National Cultural Conservation Area based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia No. 260/M/2013.
As is known, the Majapahit Kingdom was a traditional state of the great past in the Land of Java. The location is suspected to be in the vicinity of the Brantas and Brangkal River deltas. Talking about the historical significance of the Trowulan Site, this location is suspected to be the existence of the royal capital.
With so many ancient buildings, walking around the Trowulan Site area can indeed ignite the imagination of visitors, that we are treating a big city in the past. The city has an artificial pond of 6.5 hectares and its canals are neatly arranged. These channels, which intersect and cross each other with this particular pattern, are seen based on aerial photographs or geographical information system (GIS), a sophisticated tool that can now be a source of historical analysis.
But, is it true that the Trowulan Site is the location of the capital city of the royal city of the Majapahit Kingdom? This is a classic question that has been debated by archaeologists and historians for a long time. This question leads to a follow-up question. If Trowulan is not the location of the Majapahit palace, then where is the capital city? Are there other large sites in East Java that can be considered as urban sites from the Majapahit era?
"What are you thinking Gee", a tap on the girl's shoulder made her turn her face slightly.
"As you can see, I was looking at the notes and comparing them", Gee replied while still staring at her phone screen.
"You mean to compare it with the release version listed on Indonesia.go.id page?" replied the father with a smile.
