It was our annual holiday dinner with family and friends at my parents" house. When my older brothers started having kids, they wanted to create their own family traditions on Christmas Day, so Mom insisted on hosting a dinner every Christmas Eve.
Cora and I had done this dinner together for years before we’d broken up. We’d slept here, woken up together, had breakfast, and exchanged gifts.
