CHAPTER 12

Elizabeth’s P.O.V. “Elizabeth, we have waited for you for a very long time. Please come and sit. We have a lot to discuss.” “Who are you?” “I am Orion Williams and this lovely lady next to me is Adeline Snow.” “Snow... that sounds so familiar.” “Your mother’s maiden name, Love.” “Okay, now I’m confused. This burial ground was for the people they saw as Royal. Why would my mother’s family be here? I knew they saw my mother as such, as she was married to my father. Wait… are they…” “Yes, Love, their bodies are right over there.” Orion said as he pointed to the tombstone standing on the far left. They patiently waited while I went over to the stone that had angels on it. “O, mamma, papa, I wish you could be here.” I said, as tears stained my face. “It’s alright Darling, they are watching over you. You will be just fine.” Adeline said, while hugging me tight, and I did not mind the shivery feeling going over me as her touch was as cold as ice. “I’m guessing you were only told about me and not the Snow bloodline.” I just nodded my head, not really knowing if I should believe what I am seeing or if I should book myself in at the madhouse. “O Darling, don’t look so bewildered. I know this can be overwhelming, but you are not losing your mind. We have come here today to speak with you. We know about the trails and you need to be ready. They have not told you the whole truth and if you are not ready, you are going to suffer.” “Your enemy is closer than you think, Elizabeth. She is working from within the ground. Keep your eyes open and your senses enhanced.” I put my hand up, stopping Orion while he was speaking. I needed a few answers before more information was being thrown at me. “First matter on hand, how does the Snow family fit into all of this?” I had to start some ware and figure this out. “So the Snow family was actually the original family to find out about the Supernatural world. When my grandson was out after a Vampire, he discovered the town where the Snow family lived, but the town was not just humans, they were all different and they caught him trying to kill one of the townspeople, a Tiger Shifter. So Adeline was the one that revealed to him what was going on and the one to help him find and kill the Vampire that was terrorizing the towns. The Snow bloodline does not need the pendants like we do. They have a natural in-stink to know who is evil and who is innocent, no matter the species. They have a light inside them and they know how to bring it forward to kill the darkness within and, therefore, can live in peace. That is why your mother and her family were so set on it to help other hunters, that grew up learning that all shadows are evil, in changing their minds. That is also why the pendants were made. Not all hunters believe in this. That is why some refuse to wear them.” “But Darling, you are the firstborn that has both bloodlines within you. You are the only one to put an end to the war and bring peace among all.” “O wow, no pressure then.” “O come now, you’ll be fine and we will be there to guide you all the way.” “Now who is this traitor you talked about?” “That you will have to figure out for yourself. We are only allowed to guide you and to help you develop your skills. The rest is up to you.” “You sound like Prue...” “Now that is a smart Witch, you had best listen to her and trust in the family you have now. In the end, that is all that’s going to matter.” “What skills is it I need help with?” “You're light Darling, you need to grow your light.” “Grow my light... ya okay?” “Do not take that tone with me, young lady. Come and sit here in the middle and we will work for a bit.” I went into the middle of the graves that formed a circle and sat there looking at them, not knowing what to do next. “Now, close your eyes and feel what is inside.” “I feel nothing...” “Take off the pendant.” As I did it I felt the darkness in me rise, rise to kill what was near me and as I opened my eyes there Prue stand right in front of me. “Prue, what are you doing here?” “Just calm yourself, Love.” “It is not as easy as it looks.” I pushed and pushed against the darkness as much as I could, not wanting to hurt my friend. “Darling, look within yourself. There will be a light. Take it and make it yours. You do not need the pendant. You are in control of your own mind and body.” I closed my eyes searching for this so-called light, but the darkness was every were. “I can’t find it. Give me my pendant!” “Now you listen to me you have Snow blood running thru those vines you can do this.” Abruptly my body just reacted, and I was on my feet, eyes open, but the darkness overwhelmed my mind and all I could think of was that Prue was a thread and I had to take care of it. I attacked Prue, but she knew what was going on and she was ready as she responded to my attack with a fist in my abdomen. “Calm yourself, Elizabeth. Focus... Do not follow your natural in-stinks, you can force it down.” “I’m trying!” I roared as I landed a fist on Prue’s jaw and she hit one to my gut. “Elizabeth, close your eyes and search. The light is there.” I closed my eyes as my body and mind still did what comes so naturally to it. It was like it moved on its own, kicking and swinging. It was on autopilot. I search within myself, not knowing actually what I’m searching for, until... I saw it; it was dull and very distant, but I reached for it, stretching my hand as far as I could. It’s warm and calming. I was able to hold it with my hand and wrap it around me. As I opened my eyes, I saw Prue lying on the ground. I ran to her. “O Prue I’m so-so sorry.” I said as I picked her up in my arms and she was all bloody. “You have one mean kick there Darling.” “I’m sorry I didn’t even...” “It’s fine Darling, I’m guessing you found your light.” “I found it Prue, I found it.” I said as tears were streaming down my face. “So let’s see it.” I looked at Adeline in confusion. “Show us your light. Just bring it forward.” I closed my eyes once more and there it was, as if it was waiting. Opening my eyes, I pushed it out as a light blue golden light surrounded me, hugging me like a fluffy blanket. “It is beautiful.” “It is powerful and know when you train and you sense the danger of evil, use your darkness as that will give you your raw power and use your light as that will give you the accuracy and the way not to hurt those that are innocent. You will be strong and you will be the best of both.” “Thank you Orion and Adeline. I never knew.” “We will still be with you until your trials are over.” I nodded my head as they disappeared and I felt drained mentally and fiscally. I looked over at Prue feeling bad for my friend, but she just burst out lathing. “What... why are you lathing?” “You need to see yourself. You weren’t the only one that kicked ass.” As those words reached my ears, it was like I felt my body for the first time and I felt it. It was sore all over and my eyes were swollen and blood dripping from my nose and mouth. “Ha I guess not...” Eric P.O.V “It’s been four hours, where are they?” “Settle down Eric, I’m sure they are fine, it is probably a big place and Prue is doubtlessly touching everything feeling the land and telling Elizabeth everything she can read from it.” “I don’t like this Jarred something is not right I can feel it and Phantom is going mad in my head.” “I think you and Phantom need a bit of a distraction. Come, I saw a training room when we went to the dining hall. Let’s go play for a while.” “I’m not in the...” “O shut up and come.” With a heavy heart, I left the balcony and went after Jarred. He was right. I needed to get my mind off everything and just let go. “The pup does not know what he’s getting himself into.” “Come now Phantom, we can’t take our frustration out on him.” “He is asking for it.” “Phantom... really, is he.” “O you are such a crybaby, you know that.” “O shut up.” As I entered the room, a fist come out of no were, breaking my nose. As I finally got my vision back, Jarred stood in front of me, bouncing from one foot to the other. “O now you asked for it.” I leaped forward and hit him in the ribs as he countered by hitting me on the jaw. I then turned and threw him over my shoulder and as he landed, I hit him again on his ribs. He moaned for a bit, but was on his feet in seconds, charging at me. As we collided, you could feel the raw power coming from us as we exchanged fists and kicks. Throwing each other everywhere we could. I think it was about two hours later when we laid on the ground next to each other out of breath and I felt better. Even Phantom was panting. “So feeling better?” Jarred asked and my eye caught the glimpse of Robin’s little light going out a back door. “Did you know she was here?” “No, I didn’t know.” “That woman is giving me the creeps.” “You can say that again.” “Elizabeth is not to be left alone with her.” “Agreed. What is up with that light around her?” “I don’t know, but it is protecting her somehow. Even Phantom can’t get a reading on her.” “Maybe we should ask the Warlock. He lived with them for quite some time.” “So you trust him?” “Not really...” “I thought so. No, let us keep a low profile and hope that Elizabeth will come with some answers.” “Ya, you could use a shower.” “O speak for yourself, little pup.” “You want to go another round, kitten?” “Why not...” All the sudden, the doors opened and Saruman came in. “Miss Elizabeth and Miss Prue are on their way back, if you gentlemen want to freshen up after the little show.” “O now I want a peace of him.” “Phantom, low profile, remember?” We went to our rooms and there were already bathes filled for us. “Saruman, I’m sure of that. The room has his stinge all over it.” “Phantom, you really need to calm yourself.” “I will be calm as soon as Elizabeth is in my arms.” “She will be, shortly.” I took a quick bath and went to Elizabeth’s room. On the other side, I hear Jarred and Prue. “Eric is going to flip when he sees her like this.” “It’s not my fault I had to protect myself and you know as well as I do, I can’t use my magic here, so I couldn’t fix us up.” “O come now, you two Eric will be fine.” At that moment I went in and there she was, black eye broken nose and a split lip. “What the fuck...” Elizabeth P.O.V As Erick entered through the door, I prepared myself for the worst, but before he could get furious, I explained and took careful steps towards him. “Eric! Listen to me, it was not her fault. I spoke to my ancestors, and they showed me how to use the light, but for me to do so, I needed to take my pendant off and feel the darkness. So they used Prue to get everything going and one thing let too another and this is the result. I struggled to keep myself under control and she had to protect herself.” He was quite did not say a word as he walked closer to me and I could see the anger in his eyes as Phantom was there with him. He took me by surprise as he held me against him, breathing in my scent, and kissed me. “I’m sorry, Love. I didn’t expect that you would look like this when you came back, even though I felt something was not right.” Erick said, as he gave Jarred a death stare. “Ya, why not give me the look? How was I supposed to know that they were in a death match? What is this about your ancestors and light?” We all just looked at Jarred, rambling. “Feel free to answer me at any time.” “O poor Jarred, sit and I will tell you everything.” I said, as I moved to the sitting area. “So we came to the burial site and there I saw Orion Williams and Adeline Snow...” “Adeline Snow...?” “I know, right? Who would have gest they also saw my mother as a Royal. But in any case, they told me that there are a lot of things that have not been told, like the story of my mother’s family and there is someone in our mids that is up to no good. Then Adeline told me about the light and how I can use it and don’t need the pendant. That was when me and Prue were getting it on.” “Getting it on, you say.” “O calm down Eric, she is fine.” Prue said, rolling her eyes at him. “Okay, so back at the person up to no good?” “Yes, we don’t know who yet.” “Isn’t that just peachy.” Eric said, standing up and moving to the windows overlooking the land. “I think I know who it is.” “Ya, I also think it could be her.” Jarred said. “Okay guys, who are we talking about?” Prue asked just as Saruman came into the room. “Good day, ladies and gents. Lunch is ready. Would you like to eat here or in the dining hall?” “Can we please eat here?” And in seconds, he filled the table in the middle with fruits and sandwiches with fresh lemon juice. “Thank you Saruman.” “My pleasure Miss.” “So can we get a name now.” Prue asked again and Erick looked over at Saruman unsure if he can speak. “Don’t wary, Eric. He is on our side that I can promise you.” “If you say so. We think it is Robin...” “My aunt..., why would you think that.” “She is very sneaky if I can put it like that and Phantom also gets these vibes, that something is not truly right.” “Jarred, you agree with Eric?” “All the way.” “Saruman, what can you tell us about her?” ”Not much, really. She is the only one in the house that I cannot keep tabs on and I can get even a glimpse of her mind. The other councilmen and women are easy. They mostly think about power and money and lives that need to be saved, but she I do not know. Believe me, I have tried. Somehow she just always knows.” “Now that is suspicious.” Jarred started pacing as Eric followed. “O come on guys, eat, you will feel better, beside I think I know how she has been avoiding him.” “How...?” jarred jumped on the couch all ears. “Ha ha ha, O Jarred, you are so cute.” I said, earning a growl from Eric, but got him to sit next to me. “Her light…, you think it is her light?” “As always, Prue, you read my mind. Yes, I think it is that, but now we will have to figure out how she knows he wants to follow her. I mean, I’m sure he can cloak himself good enough that no one can detect him.” “There is only one Witch that can detect me and I don’t think she is close by.” “Caroline...” “Prue, who is Caroline?” I asked, and she looked over at Saruman. “She is my wife.” “Your wife, but why is she not here?” Eric asked as he held my hand a little tighter. “It was a long time ago. She started dwelling into magic that she did not know about. I warned her that the magic she was using was going to eat her soul. She will forever be lost, and that she needed to stop. So she did for a while, but after a few years, she just went running back to it. As if it was her lifeline and I knew it was too late. The magic has her, the monster is within her. It wasn’t even two days after she returned to her magic that she had lost her soul and the way she gave it up was unthinkable.” We all sat in silence listening to afraid that he would stop if we made a sound. “She gave up our first unborn child...” It shocked me I could not move even if I wanted to. “That is when I came here, leaving her behind. She is the first Black Magic Witch.” “And she has never been able to contact you or been here inside the grounds? Prue asked. ” “Once when Elizabeth’s grandfather just took over, I thought I saw her, but it was so fast that it was probably nothing, just my mind playing tricks. But to be sure, I spelled the Island, making it that no one’s magic can work here but mine.” “What do you think, Prue?” “I think we need a hot bath and some rest. Tomorrow we train.” After that, she left the room and left us sort of surprised. “Comes Love, you need some relaxation and I will not take no for an answer.” He grabbed me by the arm and ran towards the balcony. As we jumped over, I grabbed him by the shoulders, knowing that Phantom would be the one to land on the ground. We took off between the trees, loving the feeling of wind in my hair. He took a sharp right and headed in the opposite direction from the morning. As we neared another pond, I could see the steam coming from the water. It was a hot spring, and it was beautiful. There were wild flowers growing around it and the trees surrounding the area made a think barrier, making it so more private. I just took my clothes off, not thinking twice if Eric was looking or not. I just wanted to get into the water, which was so inviting. And I was right. As soon as my body hit the water, all my muscles relaxed, and it felt like heaven. I felt his hands and on my shoulders as he started to message them and I laid my head back to rest on his shoulders, closing my eyes for a minute and enjoying my little heaven he had just created.
