As the evening sun cast its warm glow over the city, Aayush and his friends were bustling with excitement, busy with the final preparations for the get-together. The air was electric with anticipation, and the sound of laughter and chatter filled the air. Their parents had arrived, oblivious to the surprise that their children had in store for them. They chatted and mingled, enjoying the warm atmosphere of the gathering. Meanwhile, Avni was rushing to finish her work, her mind preoccupied with the upcoming celebration. She had promised Aayush that she would try to be on time, and she was determined to keep her word. As she gathered her belongings and left the office, Avni felt a sense of excitement and joy that she hadn't felt in a long time. The crowded train and bus, which had once seemed so empty and isolating, now felt vibrant and alive. The city, which had once seemed so grey and mundane, now seemed full of color and possibility. Avni's heart was full of happiness, not just for Aayush, but for all of his friends. She had watched them grow and learn, and she had seen the impact that Aayush's success had had on them. They were all beaming with pride, and Avni couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and satisfaction herself. As Avni arrived at the gathering, she felt a flutter in her chest. She had brought five small bouquets of flowers, one for each family, as a gesture of goodwill and celebration. The colorful blooms seemed to symbolize the joy and excitement that filled the air. As she entered the room, Aayush's father looked slightly confused to see Avni there, but he still welcomed her with a warm smile. His friends, oblivious to Avni's presence, greeted her with a polite smile, their faces filled with curiosity. The room was filled with the sound of laughter and chatter, as Aayush's father and his friend's families enjoyed each other's company. The atmosphere was lively, with the scent of food and drinks wafting through the air. Just then, Saurabh stood up, a mischievous glint in his eye. "Hey, Mom, Dad, we have to make an announcement," he said, his voice dripping with excitement. The room fell silent, with all eyes on Saurabh. "What is it, everyone?" the parents asked in unison, their faces filled with curiosity. Payal took over, her voice trembling with excitement. "The result is out," she said, her eyes sparkling with joy. The room erupted into a chorus of "What?" and gasps of surprise. Everyone stood up, their faces filled with anticipation. Rahul, however, looked a bit scared, his eyes darting around the room. Rahul's mother, however, was not one to be kept in suspense. "What is it, just tell us, don't make us wait!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with impatience. The room was electric with anticipation, and Avni's heart was racing with excitement. She had a feeling that something amazing was about to happen. She stood there, her eyes fixed on the group, her bouquet of flowers clutched tightly in her hand. As Sushant finally revealed the news, the room erupted into a cacophony of cheers, gasps, and tears. "We all passed with great numbers! Our first ranker is Aayush, and third is Payal, and Rahul, Sushant, and I are in the top 10!" he exclaimed, his voice trembling with excitement. The room was stunned into silence for a moment, and then it exploded into a frenzy of congratulations and celebrations. "What?" everyone exclaimed in unison, their faces filled with shock and delight. Aayush's father rushed to him, "You did it, son!" he exclaimed, hugging Aayush tightly. Aayush's face glowed with pride as he hugged his father back. Payal's parents hugged her, beaming with pride. "You got third rank, beta!" her father exclaimed, his voice filled with joy. Payal's face lit up with a radiant smile as she hugged her parents back, feeling happy and relieved. Rahul, Sushant, and Saurabh also rushed to their parents, hugging them tightly as they shared in their joy and pride. The room was filled with the sound of laughter, tears, and congratulations, as the families celebrated their children's success. As the celebrations continued, Aayush turned to his father and said, "Dad, it's because of Avni." His voice was filled with gratitude and admiration for the person who had helped him achieve his dream. Saurabh's mom looked around, confused. "Who is Avni?" she asked, her eyes scanning the room. All eyes turned to Avni, who stood quietly in the corner, a bouquet of flowers in her hand. She smiled shyly, feeling a sense of pride and happiness wash over her. As the conversation continued, Payal chimed in, her voice filled with gratitude. "Yes, Mom, it's because of Avni," she said, her eyes shining with appreciation. Sushant nodded in agreement, his face breaking into a wide smile. "Yeah, she took so much effort for us," he said, his voice filled with admiration. Aayush's eyes locked onto Avni's, his face radiating with gratitude. "Yeah, the credit goes to Avni," he said, his voice filled with sincerity. Avni's face glowed with a deep blush, as she felt shy and overwhelmed by the praise. She didn't know what to say, her eyes darting around the room as she searched for an escape from the attention. But Saurabh's mother was quick to jump in, her voice filled with pride. "Sushant, Rahul, and Saurabh just wanted to pass, but this time they're in the top 10!" she exclaimed, her eyes shining with delight. Rahul's father chuckled, his face breaking into a wide smile. "I never thought Rahul would be in the top 10," he said, his voice filled with amusement. Rahul's face fell, and he looked at his father with a mock-offended expression. "Do you think I'm that bad, Dad?" he asked, his voice laced with humor. The room erupted into laughter, and Avni's blush deepened as she felt a sense of relief wash over her. As the laughter died down, the parents turned to Avni, their faces filled with gratitude. "Thank you, Avni," they said in unison, their voices filled with sincerity. Avni's face glowed with a deep blush, as she felt overwhelmed by the praise. "Please, don't thank me," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "It's also the hard work they all did." But Payal was quick to jump in, her voice filled with conviction. "But your efforts were also there, Avni," she said, her eyes shining with appreciation. "We couldn't have done it without you." As Avni handed out the bouquets one by one, congratulating each of the families on their children's success, her eyes sparkled with genuine warmth and happiness. She moved with a quiet confidence, her smile radiant as she offered her well-wishes to each of the families. However, when it came time to give the bouquet to Aayush's father, Avni's demeanor subtly shifted. She avoided meeting his eye, her gaze instead focusing on the bouquet as she handed it to him. The tension between them was palpable, a lingering echo of their past disagreements. Aayush's father, seemingly oblivious to the undercurrents, beamed with pride as he accepted the bouquet. "I am really happy, Aayush," he said, his voice filled with a sense of ownership and pride. "You made me proud." But Avni's eyes narrowed slightly, her expression tinged with a hint of disapproval. She knew that Aayush's father had put immense pressure on his son to succeed, and now he was acting as if Aayush had accomplished it all on his own. The injustice of it all rankled Avni, and she felt a surge of protectiveness towards Aayush. Aayush, however, was quick to set the record straight. "With the help of Avni, I have done it, Dad," he said, his voice firm and clear. Aayush's father's expression faltered for a moment, before he regained his composure. "Yeah," he said, his voice a little gruff. The rest of the evening passed in a blur of happy moments and warm conversations. As they sat down to dinner, Saurabh's mom turned to Avni with a smile. "Once again, thank you, Avni, for helping our children," she said, her voice filled with genuine gratitude. Avni's face glowed with a warm blush, as she protested, "Please, ma'am, don't make me embarrassed. I just helped them - they all did it by themselves." Her eyes sparkled with humility, as she sought to deflect the praise and attention. As Aayush's father spoke, a hint of surprise crept onto the faces of the gathered families. "I think we should give a break to our children," he said, his eyes twinkling with a hint of mischief. The room fell silent, with all eyes fixed on Aayush's father. "I am saying that they will go to our farmhouse in Karwar," he announced, a broad smile spreading across his face. The room erupted into a chorus of excited chatter and applause. Sushant's father was the first to respond, his face beaming with enthusiasm. "That's really a great idea!" he exclaimed. Saurabh's dad nodded in agreement, his eyes shining with excitement. "Yeah, take some break, kids. You deserve it!" As the families continued to discuss and plan the trip, Aayush's father turned to Avni with a warm smile. "Even take Avni with you all," he said, his voice filled with a newfound appreciation for Avni. Aayush's face lit up with excitement, and he felt a surge of happiness wash over him. He had been planning to invite Avni himself, but his father had beaten him to it. Avni, however, looked taken aback by the sudden invitation. "No, no, you all go," she protested, her voice laced with hesitation. But Payal was quick to jump in, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Come on, Avni, we'll all have fun together!" she exclaimed. Saurabh chimed in, his voice filled with persuasion. "We've gone there multiple times, Avni. Please come with us. It'll be a blast!" Rahul's mom added her voice to the chorus, her eyes shining with warmth. "Yeah, Avni, go with them. You've helped our children so much. You deserve a break too!" Avni looked confused, her eyes darting around the room as she searched for an escape from the invitation. But Aayush's friends were relentless, already starting to plan the trip and make arrangements. Aayush watched Avni's face, his eyes locked onto hers as he waited for her response. He wanted to hear her say yes, to see her smile and agree to join them on the trip. But Avni remained silent, her expression a mask of uncertainty. As the dinner came to a close, Avni congratulated the families once again, her eyes shining with warmth and sincerity. Saurabh's mom, already assuming that Avni would join them on the trip, smiled knowingly and said, "Have fun with our kids. They won't trouble you." Avni smiled politely and bid the families farewell, her eyes meeting Aayush's for a brief moment before she turned to leave. Aayush, however, was not ready to let her go just yet. He quickly got up and followed her out of the house, calling out to her as she walked away. "Avni!" he said, his voice filled with a sense of urgency. Avni turned to face him, a questioning look in her eyes. "You didn't respond to the invitation," Aayush said, his eyes locked onto hers. Avni smiled and shook her head. "Aayush, please, you all enjoy and have fun. You deserve it." But Aayush was not to be deterred. He took a step closer to Avni, his eyes burning with intensity. "You told me to thank you when I achieved my goal," he said, his voice filled with emotion. "So now I'm thanking you, and I'm taking you on a holiday as a token of my gratitude." Avni's eyes widened in surprise, and she took a step back, her hands raised in protest. "But it's not necessary," she said, her voice filled with hesitation. Aayush, however, was relentless. He took another step closer to Avni, his eyes locked onto hers. "You told me to thank you, so I'm thanking you," he said, his voice filled with conviction. "And you have to join us, Avni. Please, for me." Avni's expression softened, and she looked away, her eyes avoiding Aayush's. "Okay, but first I have to apply for a holiday," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. Aayush's face lit up with joy, and he grinned from ear to ear. "Okay, then inform me, and we'll plan from there," he said, his voice filled with excitement. Avni nodded, a small smile playing on her lips. "Yeah," she said, her eyes meeting Aayush's for a brief moment. As they stood there, looking at each other, the air was filled with a sense of happiness and anticipation. Aayush dropped Avni off at her apartment, the tension between them palpable as they stood outside her apartment Building. As they said their goodbyes, Aayush's eyes locked onto Avni's, his gaze burning with intensity. Avni smiled and looked away, her heart racing with excitement.
