“The alpha’s turn out?” Alex asked with a flinch.
Aria frowned. “What’s wrong? Is there something wrong with the place? It’s okay if you can’t go; we’ll just get a cab.”
She didn’t miss the way his eyes shifted from worry to contemplation.

“No, it’s not that. I’m just surprised. You work there?” he asked her with amusement.
