"Reject her!" Alpha Dylan, Asher's father, growled from the other side of the room.
This was after Asher had confirmed with his men that it was actually Alexander chasing Aria.
Asher looked down.
"I'm not sure how that has to do with anything," Asher said, feigning confusion.
His father, Alpha Dylan, scowled at his son. "It has everything to do with everything!" he yelled, his temper rising. "The very first day you meet this girl, and the peace we've had between two packs is gone! I cannot tolerate anymore of this enmity brewing."
Asher remained seated, calm, as if his father wasn't yelling at him.
"You did everything in your power to help me find my mate. Now that I've found her, you want me to reject her? It's unlike you to accept wasted efforts," Asher said with growing spite.
