Charlotte's POV: My life in Harbor City was slowly falling into place. The Horizon Group's new project required design drafts, and I had already pulled three consecutive late nights refining the files. A shadow fell across my desk. Damien tapped on the surface lightly. "Time to clock out," he said. I didn't even lift my head. "Almost done." Before I could react, he leaned over me, reached past my shoulder, and clicked "save" on my screen. "Horizon Group doesn't do overtime as a rule," he said calmly. "Come on. I'm taking you to dinner." I packed my things into my bag and teased him, "How about I pay for dinner, and CEO Rhodes can mercifully approve my design draft?" To my surprise, Damien actually paused as if considering it, then replied, "Deal." I blinked.
