The sun didn't rise yet but Julius Fablo's body was already drenched in sweat. He is currently standing and looking into a large mirror while lifting heavy dumbbells.
Fuck he hates this f*****g face!
If he wanted to, he could destroy it with his fists but he is not crazy yet to do that.
His whole face was wrinkled as if it had been burned. His beard has grown because it looks like he doesn't want to take care of his face anymore because of his appearance. Fortunately, he was able to maintain his muscular body. With his blue eyes and pointed nose, you can say that he has a good look but because of his face, he gradually lost the confidence to socialize with others.
He lived in a mansion that resembled a Spaniard in its size. He has been locking himself in this mansion for a long time. Well, his food is no longer a problem for him because his father was the one who delivers a monthly supply of food. He also doesn't have any neighbours because the mansion is quite remote, you have to drive half a flight before you get to the city.
Well he likes to be alone or should we say, he prefers to be alone. He is angry when there are people around him, even the maids sent by his father to clean his huge house, he forcibly sends them away.
After he finished exercising, he immediately left the gym room to go to the vast garden. In the middle of the garden, there is a very beautiful tree, its leaves are yellow and it shines like gold when the sunlight reflects on it.
Julius immediately turned on the water and grabbed the hose and started watering the big tree. Julius noticed that some of the leaves had withered.
When he finished watering, he looked at the tree with a frown on his face, he picked up the withered leaves from the ground and crumpled them while looking at the tree evilly.
"Just one flower, why can't you give it to me," Julius uttered with anger.
Sofia was now standing looking at a large mansion, it looked like a castle one but she noticed that the whole area was quiet and deserted. She began to feel fear and hesitation.
If she had a choice, she might have run away because of fear.
As Mr Fablo start walking through the house, Sofia also started walking in even though her whole body was shaking with fear. As soon as the big door was opened, dust and debris immediately appeared at the entrance of the mansion.
Man, this house looks like it hasn't been cleaned in decades. This house needs a lot of work.
"I think we are destined to meet Sofia. Someone like you needs this house," Mr Fablo said with a smile.
She only answered that with a forced smile.
Sofia remained where she was as she watched Mr Fablo go up to a room. A second passed, and Mr Fablo went down without his son.
"Julius was still asleep, come and I'll show you where you'll live." Mr. Fablo walked out of the mansion and Sofia followed him.
Sofia thought she would live with Mr Fablo's son, but she was wrong. Well, it's good for her that she has her own place to live 'cause she doesn't know what kind of behaviour Mr Fablo son's has.
They travelled for a few minutes with Mr Fablo's companion. After a while they stopped at an apartment, Mr. Fablo walked through the apartment and opened the door with the key he was holding.
"From now on, you will stay here. You don't have to worry about the food and all the expenses anymore because I will pay for all of that."
Sofia slowly looked around the whole house, it has its kitchen and bathroom. The apartment also had a room that was even wider than her previous room.
"Is this okay with you?" Mr. Fablo asked.
Sofia just smiled and nodded.
"You know how to drive?" Sofia looked at Mr Fablo when he asked that.
"Y-yes." She stammered. Sofia's eyes widened as she was handed a car key.
"The car in the garage used that so that you can go to my son's house every day."
Sofia couldn't answer because of her surprise. Just recently he was wondering if his life would end. She thought that Mr. Fablo is an evil guy, but it was not.
"Thank you very much Mr. Fablo, I promise you that I will not let you down."
"I trust you Sofia. Here, take this and buy your things so you can be comfortable here." Mr Fablo hands her a check. "We're leaving. I expect you to be at my son's house tomorrow." That's it and Mr. Fablo left with his people.
Sofia left with a lot of questions and was full of wonder. But there is only one thing in his heart now, jealousy. She wishes her father treated him the way Mr Fablo did earlier.
The sun was peeking when Sofia got home to her apartment. She buys things, clothes and food. She immediately got out of the red car that Mr Fablo gave her and walked through her apartment.
She also took a few minutes to arrange everything she bought and immediately took a shower so she could cook something to eat.
She cooked pasta for her dinner and eat alone. Nothing changed. Her father was always not at their house, and she got used to eating alone.
She stopped eating when she suddenly remembered what Mr Fablo said.
"Well, my son is... a beast."
Is he for real? Maybe he said that because of his son's bad behaviour. Well, I didn't meet him yet so better not judge him first.
Whatever, no matter what his attitude towards her is, there is nothing she can do. She will just wait for the two years to end and she will be free, and she can pursue her dreams in life.
Sofia promised herself that she would never go back to her father after what he did to her.
She finished her food and washed the dishes before she decided to lie down and finally fell asleep.
Sofia woke up because of the sunlight touching her cheeks. She immediately got up from her bed when she realized that she woke up late.
She immediately went to the bathroom to take a shower. A few minutes later she was done with the arrangement and she was able to prepare two sandwiches and iced tea to take in case she was hungry.
She revived the engine of her car and started driving towards the house of Julius Fablo
Her car window was down as she happily felt the blow of the cold wind touching her face. It was beautiful to watch the bright sun rising.
She wished that she would still be this happy when she returned home.
After a minute of driving, Sofia arrived at the mansion where Julius Fablo lives. She parked her car on the side and started walking into the mansion.
Nothing has changed, dry leaves are still scattered and the grass is long around. It's like a haunted house in her eyes because it seems like decades have passed but it hasn't even been cleaned.
Seems like Mr. Fablo's son was very busy or did he have a serious illness?
She took a deep breath before knocking on the door.
"Hello... Sir Julius..." She said nervously.
A few seconds passed but still no one answered her. She was about to knock again but suddenly the wooden door opened. The sound of the old door echoed and a tall man appeared in front of her. The man was wearing a thick hoodie, Sofia couldn't see the man's face.
She was like a statue staring at the bulk of the man.
"Who the hell are you?" Julius asked with his baritone voice.
"I-I'm Sofia Tan, your dad sent me to be your maid," Sofia stammered.
"Why is Dad keep bringing s**t to my house," Julius said with anger.
"I can cook and clean and I'm also easy to get alo "
"I don't need you here. Go get out of my sight." Julius attempts to close the door but Sofia stops him.
"Sir, I need this job to pay my father's debt."
"I don't care. Find something else to bother." Julius slammed the door.
Sofia clenched her fist in annoyance. She wanted to get away, but he couldn't let Mr Fablo be disappointed.
She knocked on the door again and waited for the door to be opened.
When Julius opened the door, Sofia immediately knelt in front of him.
"Please sir I'll do whatever you want. Just give me this job." Sofia said while looking at the floor.
A few seconds passed but she heard no answer from Julius. Sofia looked up and saw Julius walk in and leave the door open.
"Start with the dishes, make sure you don't touch anything important to me and I don't want you to bother me. Get that in your head or else you'll lose your job." Julius said without even looking back at Sofia.
That man was very rude.
Sofia took it as a "yes" that's why she quickly got up and went inside to head to the kitchen.
Her eyes widened when she saw a pile of dirty dishes on the sink.
Examining the bulk dishes, it looks like someone piled them up for over a year.
Sofia took a deep breath before she started washing. Seems like she will spend his whole day just washing these dirty dishes.
Julius washed his face when he reached the bathroom. He stared at the mirror and the image of Sofia registered in his brain.
Her black hair, pointed nose, kissable lips, smooth and white skin and brown eyes. All of that seems like stayed in his brain.
He washed his face again to forget the image of that girl in his mind.
Man. What happened to him? Shouldn't he have sent that girl away earlier but his heart seems to have softened when he saw the girl begging in front of him.
After he wiped his face he looked in the mirror again. Nothing has changed, he is still looking at his ugly face that reminds him of anger and sadness every day.
He couldn't stop himself and suddenly punch the big mirror. The breaking of glass echoed and even he was surprised because his fists seemed to have a life of its own.
For a moment, he stared at his hand, which was now bleeding from punching the glass.
After a few seconds, he heard footsteps towards where he was.
"Sir? What happened? Are you all right?" It was too late when he could hide his face because Sofia quickly walked to where he was and looked at his fist which was now full of blood.
Julius's whole body stiffened when Sofia and his eyes met. He could see on Sofia's face that she had no other reaction but concern.
When he got the strength to move, he immediately let go of Sofia's hand that was holding his hand.
Sofia's face shows surprise because of what Julius did.
They stared at each other for a few seconds before Julius finally walked away and went to his room.
When Julius closed the door of his room, he immediately went to his bed to calm himself. His mind is a mess but only one thing dominates his heart.
For the first time in his life, Julius found someone who could look him in the face without hatred and ridicule.
