Sofia was washing while thinking deeply as she thought of Julius's face. Time had passed but Julius still did not come out of his room. Sofia has already cleaned the broken glass upstairs.
She doesn't know what happened to Julius because he just left and locked himself in his room. Sofia has no idea why Julius's fist is bleeding and why the big mirror is broken.
Did he punch the mirror? Is he insane?
Julius' face registered in her mind again. The moment he saw Julius's face, he only felt pity and sadness.
Now she knows why Julius has to hide his face. Sofia didn't hate it, she wanted to follow Julius as soon as he ran to his room but she stopped herself because she knew it wasn't that easy.
But if his dad was rich, why didn't he fix his face?
What is she thinking, she's in no position to ask that.
With every plate, she washed, more and more questions came to her mind.
Sofia breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that she was almost done washing. She thought she will spend the whole day washing all these dirty dishes but it seems like she washed them so fast. She glanced at the big clock and it was almost lunchtime.
A few more minutes passed and he finally finished washing everything. She can see her reflection through the plates she washed because of their cleanliness.
She noticed that most of the things inside the house were antiques. Seems like these things passed from generation to generation.
How old is this house? It seems that the house is older than her.
Julius entered his mind.
Darn it! She should have prepared for lunch earlier.
Even though her knees were shaking, she bravely walked towards Julius' room. She took a deep breath before knocking on the door.
"Sir Julius. I'm done washing. What would you like for lunch?" She stuttered.
A few seconds of silence enveloped the entire house before Julius answered.
"Anything," Julius answered sparingly from the other side. He didn't open the door because he probably didn't want to see Sofia.
"Do you have anything else to "
"After you finish cooking, just leave it in the kitchen and you can leave."
Why did he answer her so rudely? Is she upset with him?
"Okay sir," Sofia replied before heading back to the kitchen.
While preparing Julius' lunch. The image of Julius entered his mind again. She wants to touch his skin and tell him that he has nothing to be ashamed of.
Sofia couldn't forget Julius's blue eyes. His eyes... It's like the sea that you enjoy looking at, his pointed nose and the pinkish lips. How could she forget such a beautiful image?
Maybe Julius finds himself discussed, but in Sofia's eyes, he is like an art that no amount of money can buy it.
Why is she thinking these things? She is a housekeeper here, better to keep it that way because she might find trouble and her life was messy enough to add more.
When she finished cooking lunch for Julius. She hesitated to say goodbye because Julius might get rude to her again.
When she saw a piece of paper and a pen on the side, she came up with an idea. She started writing a note and leave it next to the food she cooked for Julius. After that, she walked out of the house and got into the car and leave.
While she was riding in her car, she still couldn't get Julius out of her mind.
Why did he act like that? Did she do something wrong?
She ignored all her thoughts and focused on the trees she was passing.
She still had a lot of time left so she decided to clean his apartment first. Many hours passed and Sofia entertained herself by cleaning her apartment. When she finished cleaning, she went out to throw away the trash, as she walked to the trash can, she met an old woman.
"Good afternoon," Sofia greeted.
The old woman smiled at her. If she's not mistaken the lady was in her late 50s, she has blonde hair but you can see her white hair. She also has a walking stick so that it can balance itself.
"You are the new resident here," the old lady replied.
"Yes, I just moved in the other day."
"Do you work for the Fablo family?" Sofia was confused when she was asked this. She first put down the plastic bag full of garbage just to talk to the old lady.
Maybe this is the right time to at least get some answers to the questions that are troubling her mind.
"Yes, why did you ask? Do you know the Fablo family?"
"Everyone who lived in the apartment where you are staying became an employee of this rich old guy named, Ronan Fablo. There's a rumour that his son Julius Fablo does not have a housekeeper stay with him for a long time because " The old lady stopped to speak in the distance.
"Grandma! You're just here! We've been looking for you for a while." A woman in her thirties shouted as she ran to where the old lady was.
Sofia turned her gaze to the woman as she approached the old lady.
"I'm sorry if she bothers you, my grandmother has a problem with her memory and sometimes she leaves without our permission," the woman explained.
"It's okay." Sofia's answered and she smiled.
Sofia wanted to ask the old lady about what she was saying to her earlier, but shame dominated her body.
"By the way, I'm Grace Houlsen, we live just around the corner." Grace extended her hand to Sofia.
Sofia immediately shook hands with the woman. "I'm Sofia Tan, nice meeting you."
"Nice meeting you too, I'd like to talk more but maybe soon, they looking for grandma at home. We're leaving, I'm sorry for the trouble Sofia." That was it and Grace supported her grandmother and they left together.
Sofia was left standing staring at a piece of plastic trash that she was about to throw away.
What is the old lady wanted to say to her?
She thought there would be answers to the questions that were bothering her, but it seemed that she was adding more questions to her brain.
She picked up the trash bag and put it in the trash. She was smiling while walking back to her apartment.
Maybe all the questions in her head are making her more interested to know about Julius.
Julius was sitting in the dining room while enjoying the mushroom soap made by Sofia. His face has no emotion while staring at the piece of paper in his hand.
What is wrong with him? This is a big mistake. All the maids sent by her father were easily dismissed by him, but this girl... It's like there is something in her that suddenly softens his heart to accept that woman.
These illusions must be stopped now, she is just a housekeeper and he prefers to keep it that way.
He crumpled the piece of paper and threw it somewhere. His attention was fixed on his hand.
He was so stupid to punch the mirror and get hurt because of himself.
He slowly opened the white cloth surrounding his hand. He was no longer surprised when he saw that his wound was healed. He stood up and found that the sun was about to set.
He walked slowly through the garden and he took the hose and turned on the water, he walked through the wide garden until he reached the center where the most special tree in the garden was standing. When he started watering the tree with golden leaves, he noticed some unusual things.
He could not believe that no leaf withered and fell on the ground this day, during the few years that Julius took care of this tree, it lost its leaves every single day.
But today, something seems strange about the tree. Julius stopped for a while and examined the tree.
No withered and fallen leaves. Is this the sign the old woman told him?
