  As she moved closer to the bench where the man sat, he became more and more recognizable. Sensing another presence, the man looked up, and their eyes met.   Shock manifested at how his handsome face crimped a little. Then it evolved into sadness.   Gabriella did not expect to see him ever again. To further stretch the slightest probability of crossing paths with him, she moved to a different hospital.   Her last memory of him was the sound of a sonorous slap straight at his face three years ago.   “Gabby, are you okay?” Adrian’s voice was a bit gravelly.
