Chapter 15 Outside, the hot and humid wind was blowing. The type that does not refresh. The sun had dissipated behind some heavy threatening clouds. In a tree, a singing bird started to fly, while children playing with a ball followed the direction of their houses. Cassandra was back home and she was sitting on the balcony facing the street while thinking about the past. Her father, Thomas Crowley, invaded all her thoughts. He was a man of inimitable gentleness and his kindness of heart was unmatched. She saw herself again, still a child, when he had taken her with him to the cemetery.
