Chapter 40: Talfryn He’d have to save Akton later. Talfryn curled around the weasel, hating himself for not moving before this. For letting Basil have his way with Akton, who wasn’t equipped to truly fight back. He tucked his head down, shut his eyes, screwed up his face, and constructed a fire dome around them. When Basil’s torrent of flame struck, instead of forcing it to bounce off, Talfryn ate it, consumed it in his own fire, quenched it. It put his own out.
