It’s raining. Yui Komori loves the rain. It was raining when Ema was brought to their doorstep, so for the teenage adoptive mother, the rain only made her think of positive emotions and events. Her now nine-month-old daughter sits in her lap, a little put off by the raging weather outside. She did not cry though. She had no reason too. Her mother is there by her side. Ah! She couldn’t forget about Bunny too! She quickly gave her lifeless friend a squeeze.
Ever since the baby girl had been introduced to the stuffed rabbit, the two have been inseparable. The fluff-filled animal is also on Yui’s lap, or more specifically, in Ema’s small arms. They were in the foyer at the front of the house, each of the five vampire brothers were here earlier, taking turns playing with the happy baby as Yui read in the background. However, they all soon left saying they had other plans that needed to be done. Oh well, Yui didn’t mind. She took her baby girl back in her lap just as soon as it started to rain. Ema began to fuss, but immediately got over it as Yui reassures her daughter that she is right here and even started to read to the infant in a calm, soft voice. The young woman is hoping to put the baby girl to sleep, but Ema is simply too focused on playing with Bunny in her arms.
Yui decides to give up now, and spend the afternoon in silence with her daughter. That is until she suddenly felt as if they weren’t alone. The air grew colder, spending shivers down the newly seventeen-year-old’s spine. Ema felt this change as well and started to cry. Her sounds of distress didn’t do anything to ease the nerves of fear that wracks her body, but Yui presses the child close to her chest to calm the child down even by a fraction. Nothing worked. Yui looks around to see what could’ve caused this change in the atmosphere, but sees nothing due to the lack of light from the dark clouds. Only the clashes of lightening served as their only source of light. Yui didn’t realize how dark it has gotten until just now, she would’ve decided to head back to her room if she did. What the hell is happening?
In another flash of lightening, everything happens too fast.
Ema suddenly is found alone in the foyer, now on the floor, crying her little heart out at being left in the dark, and listening to the scary sounds of the night. She wails until the point of screaming until someone finally comes to her aid.
“Y’know you can make the most annoying sounds. What’s wrong?”
Shuu is the first to answer, being the closest out of the five who care for the child’s well-being. Ema, through her overflowing tears, sees her blonde and blue-eyed father and picks herself up on her legs to wobble over to him. She stretches out her arms, begging to be picked up and cared for by the nineteen-year-old. Shuu does as she requests, also picking up Bunny in the process. The child in his arms still cries but not as loudly anymore. Shuu glances at the baby girl before scanning the room coldly. Where is she?
“Little one, where is your mother?” Shuu asks the child that only whimpers in return. He already has his answer. Man, this is turning out to be more of a pain than he asked for. The oldest Sakamaki quickly transports himself to the Baby Sanctuary that is Yui’s room, and is quickly joined by this younger siblings.
“What’s wrong with her?” Subaru asks.
“And where’s Yui?” Ayato demands.
Shuu simply passes the sniffling baby to Laito before addressing them all, “Reiji is making his move. That woman is with him. We’ll have to find them quickly.”
At the news, the younger four visibly grimace. They knew that Reiji wouldn’t concede so simply, but they didn’t expect for him to go after Yui.
“Well, where are they?” Ayato sneers, the thought of that four-eyes so much as laying a hand on Yui makes his blood boil. He better not kill her, the fiery-red head thought in disdain. On his life, he will find Yui and put a stop to whatever plans that bastard may have!
…
“Please! It hurts!”
A loud feminine voice could be heard echoing off the walls, crying in pain and agony. Only moments ago, the young woman was snatched from the foyer only to be dragged down below the manor by her wrist. She felt the delicate skin form a bruise by the crushing grip that trapped it there. She looks up to her captor while slightly wincing at the pain. His dark locks contrasting his smooth alabaster skin, and his glowing garnet irises that glare forward illuminating the dark tunnel. She didn’t know what exactly is going through the vampire’s mind but she could only hope that she wouldn’t be killed.
The second Sakamaki stops only to pull harshly on the young girl’s wrist and slam her body against the wall. Yui feels her body shake at the harsh impact with the jagged stones cutting into the flesh of her shoulders, back, and thighs. She soon crumbles to the floor with no one holding on to her wrist any longer.
“Did you think that for one second I would forget your insolence? You foolish human.” Reiji begins to condescend the teenage girl. He continues to degrade her with his words for only a few moments before reaching into his jacket pocket. In his hand is a black leather whip. He fingers it’s smooth texture and throws a vile smirk towards the girl that makes her pale with fear. He couldn’t. He wouldn’t. He would. Even though Yui slowly shakes her head in disbelief she knows that Reiji will punish her thoroughly with no qualms about it.
“Now, let’s help you remember where your place truly is.” He smirks devilishly.
He cracks the whip on to the hard stone floor, barely inches away from her body.
“Turn around.” He demands.
Yui could only listen and as she is told with a quiet sob. Crack.
The whips strikes her back shockingly. The pain jolts through her body to the point Yui folds over into a ball only making it easier for the young vampire to continue. With each snap, crack, and slap of the leather whip, Yui can feel her skin being torn off along with her clothes. She cries in agony, begging him to stop but the sadistic prince only revels in each plea. The scent of blood and fear is an intoxicating and heady scent that only riles him up into leading him to continue with his onslaught. Mercilessly, he whips her until her back is torn to sheds with pieces of skin left in chunks.
Yui feels as if she’s going to black out at any given moment before a firm hand pulls at her locks making her scalp scream from the roots.
“Your suffering will end as soon as you hand over that disgusting thing and submit.” He spits in her ear while narrowing his garnet eyes at her breathless and tattered form.
With courage and barely any self-preservation she returns the favor.
“Hell. No.” She taunts with a cocky smile on her chapped lips, no longer caring. She knew she might die here but she would not give the prince the satisfactory of her defeat or hand over her child willingly.
Reiji simply clicks his tongue and shoves the girl to the ground.
“Unfortunately I don’t have enough time to discipline you further and correct that incompetent mouth of yours. The smell of blood will lead the others right to you and I’d rather not be present for this little reunion.” Reiji fixes his glasses and as quickly as he appeared, he vanished into thin air.
Alone, on the cold floor in a pool of her own blood, Yui lays still, too tired to move the slightest inch. Her eyes slowly drift, blinking, trying to see through the dark to no avail. She might actually die here. Her eyes begin to lose focus. The light in her pink hues slowly die to a dull faded pink with tears cascading down across her face to drip silently into the dark.
…
Reiji soon fled the manor. No one knows where he went and frankly they didn’t care. They were looking for one person and one person only. They caught on to her scent pretty quickly and rushed to the scene to rescue the abducted young woman. Ayato, Kanato, Subaru, and Shuu went to follow Yui’s trail and were disturbed at the sight before them. She laid so still, in an open cell nearly drowning in a pool of blood and fresh.
Instantly, they were all by her side. Shuu took her into his arms as gentle as he could while being mindful of her back. Her eyes were faded and dull if any light but she still had a heart beat, though very faint. They brought her back to the manor with break-neck speed and inform Laito of the situation. Shuu, for once, actually takes charge and orders the others to get all the supplies they would need. Antiseptic, bandages, and even called a doctor to arrive shortly. During this time, Ema could be heard crying from Yui’s room while they tend to the girl down the hall. The poor dear just wants her mother, and the continuous roar of thunder and rain do not help in easing her nerves in the slightest. Subaru is the one to stay in the room with his baby girl to give her peace of mind while Laito and Ayato stay with Yui and the doctor that arrives in mere moments.
Shuu and Kanato took it among themselves to look for Reiji, both burning with a passion for revenge. It is a fury that they all shared.
The Sakamaki brothers have never been so frantic in all their long and immortal lives, and feel as if the world is slowly slipping through their fingers- no, as if someone yanked it from their grasp.
This vile storm that ravages their home and tranquility will not go unpunished. This, they swear.
