Betrayal

After seeing them together in such am embarrassing position, I closed the door quietly without them knowing that I have seen them. I went out of the house, and went to Mia's home.

I did not knew where else to go. They were always very welcoming when ever I went they treated me as I was some queen. So I went there, and Mia's mother whom I call MAA asked,

Sia what happened you came here all of sudden from college.

I was not feeling well maa and my mom was not home so I came here, I said.

MAA said good that I came here, I will give you a head massage so that you will get relief. But little did she knew that the thing which I saw today was enough to give me sleepless nights.

In the evening I went home but did not speak anything with my mom, I could not do it after what I saw. I went straight inside my room and shut the door. As usual my mother did not ask what happened or was there anything that was bothering me, why I'm so dull today, nothing she asked. Only thing she asked was, do you want to eat anything. I said no and closed my eyes.

That whole night I couldn't sleep, and I was thinking how did this happened. Was this happening from long back or it started recently, was my mother like this when my dad was there. Did my mother had this relationship this whole time. All this thoughts were giving me all kinds of emotions, anger, frustration, sadness. But one thing I could not digest the fact that she betrayed my dad, the person who loved her so much, how could she think of someone else in my dad's place.

But after thinking all this suddenly one thing came into my mind. My father's words.

"Sia one day I have to leave this world, when that day comes, promise me that you will look after your mother, you will take care of her, you will not leave her, promise me my little baby".

This is what my father said few days before he passed away. I was too small to understand why was he saying this. I asked daddy why are you saying this, for that he said my princess your mother suffered a lot because of me, she sacrificed many things, she faced many difficulties. So when I am not there I want you to take care of your mother.

I promise dad I will look after mom and will not leave mom at any cost, no matter what. After saying that my father smiled.

After all these things went through my mind, one thing I said to my mind, what ever my mother is doing its her life, I'm no one to judge her. So that day I decided I will behave that I did not see anything and I don't know anything. I will protect my mother from all kinds of harm.
