Chapter 3

The corridor was almost empty and we were still here. In the same spot, doing the same thing, thirty minutes ago. Sharia is still flirting with Marcus. Serene is trying her best to flirt with Marcus while holding me hostage and I have been standing here listening to every lie that's been said by both of them. If only I could just tell him that they're lying without facing any consequences later. "Hey, Marcus.' Sharia said playfully, placing her hand lightly on his shoulder. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind walking us home? It's a bit of a walk from here and we would love your company. You wouldn't want us walking alone?" She questioned. Giving Marcus the biggest puppy dog eyes, she could muster up. "Please say no!,' I whispered to myself. Please say no!" I pleaded. "Please say yes!' Sasha howled. Please say yes!" she repeated. "Sasha! Please understand. We can't let him walk us home. If he walks us home, I'll have to watch the twins flirt with him again and I don't think I can handle it right now. Especially after watching them thirty minutes ago!" I snapped. I must have hurt my wolf because I didn't hear a word come from her since. Nothing but the sound of crickets and emptiness. "Sasha?" I called out for the third time but still again, nothing. Marcus looked over at me, then at Sharia and then back at me. "Uh... sure. Is that's OK with Larissa? Is that OK with you?" he questioned with a dazzling smile. Pleading me with his eyes to say yes. I glanced over at Sharia, then over at Marcus. After a long moment thinking about it, I said. "I'm sorry but no... We have to get ready for tonight and I'm sure you do-TOO!" I jumped. As I felt another sharp pinch on my back. "I-I-I mean... I-If y-you wants t-t-too" I stuttered. Trying hard not to show Marcus I was in pain. "Of course I would love to,' he smiled. I wouldn't want three beautiful women walking alone in the forest." he replied. I shook my head, giggling to myself, hearing the tiny joke in his reply. I nodded then stared back down at my feet again. "Since that's settle. How about we walk together?" Sharia asked, linking her arm through Marcus's arm. Marcus nodded but unravelled his arm out from hers. "Yeah, sure but I uh like walking by myself. Sorry!" he replied. Taking off before he could hear her reply. I could see she was getting upset that Marcus didn't want to walk with her by the way her eye kept twitching. As if her head was close to exploring. Serene shrugged her shoulders and we both proceeded to follow Marcus to the front entrance. As we walked I noticed Sharia wasn't following us. I glanced over my shoulder to see where she went and she stood in the same spot, tapping her feet. As if she was getting to plan something. I looked ahead and saw the principal approaching us. "Uh... Just the young man I wanted to see!" Principal Collins said, smiling. "Hello Mr Collins!" we all greeted cheerfully. "Hello everyone, he replied. I just wanted a chance to congratulate you early Mr Black on becoming our new Alpha and that I am very proud of the man that you have become today" he smiled. Mr Collins stretched out his hand, ready to shake. Marcus did the same as he thanked Mr Collins. "Thank you, sir and congratulations on your newest arrival. I bet she is as beautiful as her mother" he smiled proudly. Mr Collins replied with a thank you, a smile before leaving us to carry on to the front entrance. It had taken us a while but we finally reached the front entrance. Marcus opened the door and one by one ushered us out. "After you ladies" he smiled, giving each of us a wink and a nod. I was the last one to exit. Sharia waited for Marcus to pass me to get ahead of us before pulling me aside. "You better not get any Idea's about Marcus Larissa! You don't want to be locked in the storage cupboard again!" she murmured, patting my head hard. I nodded my head, clutching my bag tight to my chest. "HEY BITCHES!,' Mel yelled from across the courtyard. DID ANYONE SIGN YOUR YEARBOOKS?". Sharia and Serene both gave each other the look before glaring back at her. "NOT YET!" Sharia yelled back. "MARCUS IS WALKING US HOME!" Serene yelled back too. "OK,' Mel replied. I CAN SIGN YOUR YEARBOOKS!". Sharia and Serene both nodded before giving her a fake smile. "Hey! Uh, I can write something in your yearbooks now if you like?" Marcus questioned. Both the girls gave each other the look before nodding, smiling and exchanging books. Once he was done writing in theirs and them writing in his book. Marcus turned to me with his hand out. "What?!" I questioned. Looking at his hand then back up at him. "Your yearbook?" he questioned. I looked between him and his hand, which felt very long before I shook my head no. "Come on Larissa. You don't want me to write in your yearbook?" He questioned again and I shook my head again. "Sorry it's j-" I said before my words got cut short. "Of course she will let you write in her yearbook!" Sharia snapped. Snatching my bag from out my hands and pulling out my yearbook before placing it into his hands. "Sure!" I said. Looking anywhere but at him. A few minutes later he was done. He handed me my yearbook and smiled. I thanked him before placing it into my bag. "Ain't you going to write in mine?" he questioned. Shoving his book in my face. "Oh yeah, I was... I was just placed mine in my bag" I groaned, rolling my eyes. As I took his yearbook from him I stood there looking at him. Waiting for him to pass me his pen he was using. "Oh!" he laughed, handing me his pen. Then I began to write. "Marcus, Congratulations, you made it through school. You are not dumb after all. I know you are going to be an amazing Alpha for our pack and everyone is proud. Larissa x". I signed my name, adding a love heart shape at the bottom before handing his yearbook back. He quickly scans read it before raising one eyebrow at me. "You think I'm dumb?" he questioned and I almost replied with a yes. I shrugged my shoulders. "Maybe!" I replied and we both smiled. Suddenly Marcus took a large step towards me. Our bodies were almost touching when I felt his thumb under my chin forcing me to gaze into his eyes. "Thank you beautiful," he said softly, smiling before slowly pulling away. My cheeks blushed a deep red the moment he pulled away and I was already missing his warm touch. Sharia and Serene both glared at me with their jaws clenched shut. Marcus cleared his throat. "Aye... So, are we ready to take off ladies?" he questioned. With no response from all of us he took that hint and lead the way. "Hey!" I snapped, a few minutes later,' "What about your car?" I asked. He swung around, faced me and said "It's OK, I'll pick it up later on" he replied and with that, he turned back around and continued walking out the front gate entrance whilst three girls following behind. A smile began to form on my face and I knew Marcus could feel it too.
