Chapter 8

I don't know why everyone says I don't like to speak. If this mission proves anything I don't mind talking. I just don't like talking to Micheal. I don't know what it is about him, I just don't like to talk to him. Glenda is the worst though.

She came from a different school, one that only creatures from rich Covens or clans go to. All the other schools look down on the academy, but they also fear it. I can see why though. The others came from good schools, but for Kendra. She went to the same one as Glenda.

So now we have been on this mission for a few months now. We got a few relics the bracelet of spells, Aethereal key, sword of judgement, stone of fertility, we also collected flowers from the tree and have the amulet. I'm surprised we managed to get all of these relics so fast. We also went to places where relics were already taken.

We just need to find out what they want the relics for. I guess I can ask Micheal when we get back. For whatever reason that they want these relics, they must need all of them. I don't know why the Aidrus region would want relics.

I mean they aren't up for fighting. Their old rulers loved war, but when they were taken down the new rulers wanted peace. Everyone was skeptical since it was lycans on the throne and they are known for violence. Its not really true though, we are not all violent creatures.

I wish we could've flown back to the council, but we couldn't get the jet. I mean we could, we just would've waited a few days. So now we are all squished in a van driving back.

Josh hits the breaks hard and we go flying forward.

" What the hell. " I shout.

" f*****g animals. " Josh screams.

I look forward and see a fox run from in front the van.

" f**k sake. " Josh sighs

He starts driving again. Must be hard to drive in the dark. We are still a few days from the order.

" Maybe we should stop in the next town and sleep. " I say.

" Yea. we're heading into Silverhollow and after that is just miles and miles of forest. " He says

We reach the city and Drive to the first place we see, which is Silverhollow Inn. We all got out and dragged ourselves to the counter and got rooms. I took a seat when we got into the inn. I know I said I didn't want to be in a team, but I'm kinda enjoying it.

I don't show it though. I don't want to work in teams though, not until I have Ethu and Thoelia under control. When I do get them under control I wouldn't mind working with them though.

The " Okay these are your rooms. Breakfast is at 7-10 tomorrow morning and lunch is from 11-3, then dinner is 5-8. Breakfast is free but lunch and dinner will cost 25 per person. That is if you are staying till late tomorrow. "

Josh shakes his head. " Just for the night. "

She smiles and hands him the keys.

He turns to us. " Lets go. "

I stand up and as soon as I do the lady stiffens and stares at me. I ignore her and keep walking.

" Wait. " She shouts.

We all stop and look at her.

" I'm so sorry, but I forgot to take one the rooms off as vacant, I'm so sorry. They are switching everything out. "

She fumbles under the counter and brings us two new keys. " Here take these two. You guys wanted your rooms together but I gave you the only two bedded rooms, this one has one bed and this one has three. "

" Okay. " Josh says.

He hands her the keys and she takes one out and gives us five keys back. " I'm so sorry for this inconvenience. "

" Its okay. " Josh says.

We all head to our homes and she walk back to the counter. We walk to our rooms.

" So who's getting the single bed. " Ertha asks.

" Dibs. " I say.

" Why you. " Kendra says annoyed.

" Team leader. I also was the one that found all the relics. "

Josh nods. " Got us there. "

He throws the key at me and I catch it.

I bow my head slightly. " Night. "

I open my door and walk in and I close the door. As soon as the door clicks I get a bad feeling. I just shake it off and put down the bag I carried in. I go through it and pull out some clothes and head for the bathroom. I turn on the tap and start filling up the tub.

After my bath I tiredly fall into my bed. I wasn't in the bath for long when I started to feel exhausted. Like not usual exhausted, like I ran all the way from our last destination instead of drove. I don't really care and fall asleep. Even in my dreams I get that bad feeling.

I gasp awake full of sweat. " What the hell. "

My throat feels like its burning. I look at the time and it 3 o'clock in the morning. I've only been asleep for a few hours. I get up groaning. My whole body feels sore. I slowly walk to the bathroom, and turn the tap on and drink out of the tap. I wipe my mouth and lean over the sink with my hands on the counter.

What the hell is happening. This doesn't feel right. I don't feel right. What the hell is happening, I can't be sick or in heat. Heat doesn't even feel like this and I would be able to tell if I was sick. I sigh and splash water on my face.

I turn of the tap and dry my face with a towel. I go to leave the bathroom when my door open. All the lights are off, even the ones in the bathroom. I can see in the dark, but I'm pretty sure they can't

" Hurry up. She should be passed right out by now. " A woman wispers.

" Are sure she took this room. " A man asks.

" Yes. I watched the cameras and she went into this room. "

" What about her friends. "

" If we're quiet enough they shouldn't hear us. "

" Umm. "

" What. "

" Shes not in the bed. "

" Where the hell is she. "

I flick on the bathroom light and they both jump and go wide eyed.

I smile. " Morning. "

" You should be passed out right now. " The woman stammers.

Its the same woman who was at the counter.

" Why should I be. "

" I flooded this room with wolfsbane. "

" Oh. That explains it then. "

I can see she has something in her hand. It look like a flashlight. I take a step closer and she starts to repeatedly tap the top of it with her thump. Shes pushing a button.

" What the hell do you guys want. " I say angrily.

The guy raises his hands in surrender. I take another step and stumble. What the hell. I bring my hand to head. I realize why shes pushing the button and lunge at her. I tackle her down and try to grab her hand but I get knocked out.
