From being a bet to being in love

Chapter 9

I sit in the back of the building wondering what to do. It's starting to rain. I'm crying my heart out when I hear footsteps approaching.I look up and see Xander standing infront of me.He bends down and lift my chin up." Are you crying Sofia?" I shrug his hand off my chin and say, "What are you doing here?Shouldn't you be with your perfect girlfriend?"

He gives a small chuckle and say, "Britney is not my girlfriend.I'm sorry about what happened back there.I should've stood up for you."

" Can you just leave me alone. Let me be." I pleaded.

" How about we get out of the rain and I'll give you a lift home." He said.

I look up at him." You don't know where I live.My neighborhood isn't like yours. You can't drive back alone." I said.

He looks at me and smiles." It's ok.I don't mind." He said.

" It's ok I'll get a cab." I said.

" No. It's either I give you a lift or you come home with me. Don't look at me like that, I have a lot of space at home.My parents aren't there either so what do you say. You have to chose because I'm not leaving here without you." He said.

I can't go home because they will know something is wrong and it is raining so.

" Ok I'll go with you to your place but no funny business." I said and he laughed.
