Chapter 14 “My hair!” cried Brisa as she fought her way through a stormy sky. “My god!” Dean countered, in response to the view from our paratrooper position, some ten thousand feet above sea level and dropping fast. The directors were bringing us in for a closer look. We lived in a place where it rains pretty consistently for nine months of the year, but I had never seen water like this. We’d been transported to a flood plain of some sort, or a floating city, if Venice were relocated to hell.
