If this had happened on a normal day, maybe I would have been scared of getting caught and blowing my cover, which my mate strongly didn't desire to happen.
But at the moment I didn't have the time to waste on Damian. I needed to get to the pregnant lady; they needed me. At the moment, I didn't care about what would happen if he saw me.
I decided it was best to ignore him and keep walking, so I did just that. But as I made a step to leave, his hand grabbed mine, holding me back.
