ELSA’S POV
After we returned to the pack, it was an absolute delight. For some reason, Mark’s mate, Jessica, is in love with me. Yes, but remove your mind from the gutter; it's purely Platonic. The girl has followed me around all day every day, and when she isn't with me, she is with Mia or Mark.
The pack has been very peaceful and happy, especially as we are having a double celebration soon. We decided to do the mating ceremony and the Luna and Betafemale matebond ceremony for Jessica and myself together.
As the preparations were going on, something nagged me. I was yet to settle the issues between Elijah's mom and me. It didn't seem right to be planning this event without making peace and setting everything that has happened aside.
I sat on the bench under the tree, lost in thought.
