It happened in seconds. The part of my life that I had longed for the most and had given up on ever getting appeared in seconds. One minute I was in my human form, and the next second I was a wolf.
My mind wasn't comprehending what was going on. I looked at my paws again to be sure it wasn't my mind playing tricks on me, but instead of my feet, my paws were in front of me, confirming what I had earlier seen. I always had heightened senses, but they are even more heightened now. I could see everyone clearly, and I could hear every single sound.
