As we got to the reception, Elsa stopped and stepped away from Juliet, who was using her back to shield herself from the people around the hospital. Immediately, Elsa stepped away, and she came into view. Her mate sprang up to his feet and everywhere became silent. It was as though everyone stopped what they were doing and waited to see what would happen.
As I watched them at the moment, it felt like a very familiar situation, and when I thought about it, I realized that Elsa and I were once in this exact situation, and truly, we have come a long way from that. I turned and looked at her, and she was attentively watching the mates to see what would happen.
