I was annoyed with myself for prattling on; I must have sounded incredibly insufferable. Kael shook his head slightly, his tone devoid of any shift. "Keep going." It felt more like an interrogation, prompting me to confess more than I intended. I told him all about my plans for the documentary and my intention to fulfill my father's dying wish. After rambling for a while, I asked, "Do you think filming it this way works?" It was strange; I was the professional, yet I found myself subconsciously seeking his approval.
