Chapter Ten
Noraes strolled into his quarters of the castle, exhausted from his long day. And to think he had thought being a duke was a lot of responsibility; compared to being a king, it was a walk in the meadow. He went to his office and set a handful of scrolls to read through on his desk. Noraes exhaled before heading into the kitchen to grab a cup of coffee.
He blew on it as he walked to Starlyn’s room. His eyes grew wide and his hand shook, nearly losing the balance of his cup of coffee. Starlyn sat up in the bed for the first time in weeks. She looked full of energy and was reading. Starlyn had enough energy to read a book!
