Colter’s POV
I could not believe my eyes as I saw her walking down the stairs in the most stunning red dress. She is the most stunning women I have seen in the last 2,000 years of my life, and she is mine.
"You look beautiful my love, stunning." I said with pride.
"I am happy you like it." she smiled "Your tie is made from my dress."
"Is it?" I said as he placed my fingers to it. "Thank you, Mon amour."
"Don't thank me yet." She giggled. I looked at her confused until she leaned in whispering in my ear "Wait until you see what is under this."
I let out a deep growl pulling her into me more as a wicked smile that excited me spread across her face. She winked at my before kissing me and taking my hand.
"You are Mine." I whispered into her ear.
“I am yours and only yours.” She said with a soft smile.
“Shall we?” I asked holding my hand out to her.
“Yes please.” She replied taking it as we turned to walk into the ball room.
I looked over to see her face light up like a child in a candy shop. She looked around stopping as she looked up the masterpiece painting on the ceiling. Giving her a squeeze, we continued into the ball room towards the crowd to great the king and his new mate.
“My old friend!” The king said throwing his arms up. “You made it, and I see you brought a stunning date with you.”
“Hello your majesty. Thank you for having us this evening.” I greeted him.
“Of course, there is no party without you. Please let me introduce my mate Silla.” He said placing his hand on the red heads back bring her closer to his side.
“It is lovely to meet you ma’am.” I replied kissing her hand. “This is my mate Rosalie.”
“It is a pleasure to meet you Rose, I hope you are finding your new lifestyle pleasing?” The king said looking at my Rose.
“I do. Even if I were not blessed with this new lifestyle, I would be happy with Colter by myside.” She said looking up at me with a warm smile.
“That pleases me to hear. Ladies why don’t you get better acquainted while we go fetch drinks.” The king said with a smile.
Before joining the King, I turned back to Rose taking her hands in my and placing a soft kiss to her knuckles. Then I leaned in placing a feather soft kiss to the side of her neck, as soon as my lips collided with her skin goose bumps rose and her breathing became slightly heavier, her heart fluttered and her body swayed towards me.
“Are you alright mon amour?” I whispered in her ear.
“I am not.” She confessed in a needy tone.
“I will take care of you this evening mon amour, but for now we must wait.” I said pulling her closer to me as I she let out a whimper of disappointment out. “I will be back soon with drinks, until then think of me.”
I released her before walking to the bar with my King. I looked back to see her staring at me, flushed, ready, and needy.
Rosalie POV
He left me standing there flustered as the heat was building with no release in sight, the way he affected scared me, but it was the most thrilling thing I have ever experienced in my life. I turned my attention back to the beautiful red head standing next to me, in hopes to distract myself from what he promised.
“How are you liking the castle?” I asked her with a soft smile.
“I like it, the King is kind and does nothing without consent, so that is pleasing.” She answered honestly.
“So, he treats well than.” I confirmed.
“Oh yes, he is an exceedingly kind man. He gets me anything I like, and he is always there no matter the time.” She smiled as she snuck a look at him. “But sometimes he calls me by another’s name.”
“What name?” I asked her.
“Arabella.” She said stealing another glace towards the King. “I have seen a large painting of a stunning women hanging in his office, but since that first night when I asked about her, the painting is gone, and he refuses to speak of her.”
“Hm, I can ask Colter if you’d like.” I said touching her hand briefly.
“I would apricate that Rose, thank you. I just want to understand him better.” She confessed.
“I will do my best.” I smiled just as the men returned to our sides with cups in hand.
“I brought you a white wine, it is sweet I hope you like it.” Colter said smiling at me.
“I will.” I replied taking the wine glass.
“We will see you two a little later.” The King said as he placed his hand on the small of Silla’s back. “Come Silla, let us greet our other guests.”
“It was lovely meeting you.” I said to her as she walked away.
“So, what did you two speak about?” Colter asked.
“Who is Arabella?” I asked bluntly. His face dropped as he grabbed my hand leading me towards another room. Once we were there, he switched the light on and shut the door before looking at me.
“How did you hear that name?” He asked me.
“Silla, she said the King calls her by that name from time to time.” I said looking at him in confusion.
“Arabella is our late Queen, the love our Kings life. He lost her over 800 years ago.” He explained. “She was a lovely woman, who did more than anyone could ask for her people. Including giving her life.” He said looking down remembering a painful time.
“How did she die?” I asked placing my hand on his arm.
“There was an attempt on the King’s life, she jumped Infront of him and took a poisoned knife to her heart, she was in pain for fours day’s after that, he death was final on the fourth night in the arms of her one true mate.” He explained.
“I am so sorry.” I said setting my drink down, so I was about to wrap my arms around him.
“I am as well mon amour.” He replied leaning into my hug.
“Do you think Silla will be treated well, even with her resembling Arabella so much?” I asked him.
“I do, I believe she will be treated better because of what has happened to Arabella.” He explained.
“I hope she understands what he lost, and what she now means to him.” I said pulling away to look at him.
“I do as well mon amour.” He said with a smile. “Shall we return?”
“Yes please.” I replied. “But first I would like a kiss.”
“How can I refuse.” He said with a smile before leaning down placing his lips to mine for a soft loving kiss.
He pulled away placing one more to my forehead before he took my hand and led me back out to the ball, we spent the rest of our evening dancing. He made me feel as if I was flying, as if I were the only person in the room with him. It was a night from a fairytale that I never wanted to end.
