(Trigger Warning: Abuse, Manipulation) It had been a good month since Vivian began learning how to fight. She was progressing quickly—at least, that’s what Alex always said. He praised how fast she picked things up. But would all this training really stop her bullies? She didn’t know it yet, but today—her sixteenth birthday—would mark the beginning of a nightmare. A day she’d look back on with deep regret. She’d agreed to Alex’s conditions without fully understanding what she was signing up for. By nightfall, she would leave everything behind—her family, her home, her innocence. From this point on, she would be under the control of Alex and his two brothers. The same boys everyone feared at school. The same boys no one dared cross. They weren’t planning to help her anymore. They were planning to own her. --- The school day passed like any other. No one suspected that for Vivian, it would be her last normal day. She felt a deep, gnawing dread in her chest. Alex walked up to her just before her final class, his voice low near her ear. “I hope you haven’t forgotten our arrangement.” She shook her head. “Good girl. You’re coming home with us.” “But my parents...?” “I’ll handle it.” She sighed, hoping he’d wait until tomorrow. At least let her spend her birthday with her family. Alex kissed her cheek. “Now, run along to your next lesson. You don’t want to be late, do you?” “No.” “No what?” “No... Alex.” He frowned. “You’ll call me ‘sir’ from now on. Understand?” She hesitated. “Yes... sir.” He smirked, pleased. “Good girl,” he said, slapping her backside lightly. “Now get to class.” She walked away, trying to stay composed. Behind her, Alex’s brother approached him. “You’ve already got her under control?” Alex smirked. “She’ll be putty in my hands by the end of the week.” “Eating out of it too,” his brother chuckled. “Exactly.” --- After school, Alex was waiting outside, leaning against the car. Vivian approached nervously. He tossed his cigarette and stomped it out. “Ready?” “I guess.” He stared at her until she corrected herself. “Yes, sir. I’m ready.” “Let’s go.” He led her to the car where his brothers were already waiting. The ride was silent. No one spoke. Vivian stared out the window, anxiety bubbling in her stomach. When they arrived at the mansion, Alex turned to her. “I’ll show you your room. Shower and change. Dinner is in an hour.” “Yes, sir.” He led her upstairs to a massive bedroom. “The bathroom’s there. Towels inside. Clothes are on the bed—you’ll wear them.” She nodded. Once alone, she looked at the light-blue dress on the bed. It was elegant but simple. She let out a small smile and slipped into the bathroom, trying not to cry. Her whole world had just changed, and she didn’t even get to say goodbye to her parents. --- She showered, dressed, and made her way down to the dining room. The three brothers were seated, all of them grinning when she entered. “Come on, Vivian. We don’t bite,” Alex said smoothly. “Let’s eat.” “Yes, sir,” she replied, taking her seat opposite them. Dinner passed quietly. Just as the plates were cleared, a maid brought in a large cake. “Happy birthday, Vivian. Make a wish,” Alex said. She blinked. “How did you know?” “I have my ways. Now blow out the candles.” She leaned forward. “Yes, sir.” She made a wish and blew them out. “Your final surprise is in your room. Go check, then come back and show us.” “Yes, sir.” --- An hour passed. “Where the hell is she?” one of the brothers asked. “She’s sulking,” the other smirked. Alex shouted up the stairs, “Vivian, get down here. Now!” “I’m not coming!” she shouted back. “I refuse!” “Get down here or you’ll be punished!” After a moment, she appeared, clearly upset. “I’m not wearing this,” she snapped, gesturing to the tiny maid’s outfit that barely covered anything. “Yes, you are,” Alex replied coldly. “No, I’m not. This is humiliating.” “You’re wearing it.” “No—” Before she could finish, his hand cracked across her cheek. Her lip bled. “I said—you’ll do as I say. I’m the master here. Understood?” She trembled, silent. He slapped her again. “Do. You. Understand?” “I hate you!” she screamed, running upstairs and slamming the door shut. --- Alex watched her go, jaw clenched. “Damn,” one of his brothers muttered. “You’re not going to let her get away with that, are you?” “No. I’m going to talk to her—now.” “Just talk?” Alex smirked darkly. “Depends on her attitude.” He stormed up the stairs and banged on her door. “Open the door, Vivian!” Silence. He kicked it off its hinges. Vivian was curled up in bed, pretending to sleep. He yanked the blanket off. “What do you want?” she asked, voice thick with tears. “Haven’t you done enough?” “You disrespected me. You ignored me. That doesn’t fly here.” She spat in his face. Rage exploded through him. He slapped her again. “You’re mine. You’ll do what I say. Wear what I say. Call me what I demand. Understood?” She didn’t answer. He slapped her again. “Answer me!” “Yes... sir,” she whispered. He leaned down and kissed her, hard and punishing. She hissed. “Sleep in my room until the door’s fixed.” “I’ll be fine here.” He glared. “Now, Vivian.” She sighed, then got up and followed him.
