CHAPTER FOUR (Brink of the future)

1175 Words
Osaka Japan 5 years later OLE Every one of us needs a place to call home, a place of community, comfort, food and fresh water. We all need a place of safety for good health and for this life to be truly good-a heaven rather than a hell. And we are called to take care of one another, to act until the sufferings of this world are over, and we can be proud of the human species. We owe this to each other and to our loving creator, we must push back against the force that seeks the destruction of the earth, that turns our neighbor against our neighbor and divides us in innumerable ways. Coming together as a world of support is essential to any kind of future that is good. This place seems so foreign now. The good parts are not as good as the memory, and the bad parts are more frustrating. This street could have been any city anywhere. Now that corporations are global, we have the same kind of buildings in every country. Now this place is gray, black and blue. It’s as if human life already depends on technology as time goes on. And even as time passes and time goes by, the people above do not change. The top will stay at the top, the poor will end up dying. I was typing on my computer when someone suddenly came in. I no longer bothered to look at it because with the footsteps of his feet, I already knew who it was. His name is Albert. On the road, he used to be a wanderer, asking for coins and food. I adopted him because I would have missed Kousuke, maybe. And now, in this existence, he is my only companion. “Ole, it’s past eleven now and still you are here in this room with your crazy techs. Are you not gonna sleep again huh? You are not getting any younger in case you don’t know that. You are getting older and that age of you needs lots and lots of sleep,” he preached as his hands crossed over his chest. I click the sleep button of my computer and turned around to him. Meeting his icy gaze, I smirk. This little young man never fails to amuse me. He was like Kousuke. At the sudden thought of him my heart skip a beat and I guess I am still not used of his absence. How many years has it been? I lost counts and I don’t want to know. I want to get him back that is why I am doing this. Before I die, I want to get him back. Something tells me that there is a way and whatever chances is that I will take it. “You know what I am working at and they say a man who lives fully is not afraid of death. Yet, I have not lived fully, but I am not afraid of death. But you know what scares me? It scares me if I don’t take an action towards the death my brother, his wife and his child, Kousuke. I don’t see any worthy of my life on why I am still breathing here in this filthy place they called living. You are living because you are fighting, and that is why I am looking in any chances that I will end up taking Kousuke back into life. Albert, help me.” “That is why I am here, Ole. One of my friend in the street gives me this news. They just overheard it somewhere and I know that this would come I just wanted to have it confirm. By the year of 2030, five years from now, the virtual God Game will be back. The game that your brother formulate right? Maybe this is what you are waiting for, Ole. This is the sign,” he said, and there was a sparkle in his eyes. I frowned at his statement. “And what supposed to be that help? Are you even listening to me? Are you even hearing what I am telling you? I think you should be the one who should get sleep, my child. I don’t care about that game anymore. It is like a curse since my brother made that game. And no matter how I tell Kousuke not to play that game, he still played that damn game. He idolized so much his father knowing he was the one who made it. But you can’t handle the fate, you can’t even turn it around to those people who much deserve it,” I said as my hand formed into a fist. Albert took a step and put his hands in the pocket of his jeans and looked at me thoroughly. “Ole, that game will be your answers. That is your waiting chance after all this damn years. The God Game will be rebooted and will under go system maintenance. Sebastian, the vice president of Olympus organization found out everything under that game. Your brother is a wicked genius. The last president of the Olympus is a friend of your brother, right? I really don’t get the entire story but this is my theory and maybe after you hear this statement of mine you will have a memory background of this s**t. That game has the money of all the people here in this city. President Levi, hide it to your brother. And your brother put it into those three vaults. That is an enormous amount of money and not only that, I guess. Sebastion was so crazy to get that and that is why they are going to reboot it again, but no help. Five years from now Ole, they will recruit players to be in that game. That sick game, it’s not even recruit for me because it is like giving your life as a pay. A survival game, if you say. As the years go by, the game went harder and difficult to play. Even the most pro players here in Olympus could not even solve it and end up quitting. But now I guess they will be back, for the prize could not be resisted if you are living as a commoner and the rich kid is also wanting to be in the game. In fact they are enlisting ow at the front of the Olympus building. And this is what I heard. People inside the Olympus conducted research of the players of that game. And in this year all things are possible for you now, Ole. They will pick at least five wild cards from the last season of God Game who has an accurate score and accurate solving data. Five wild cards, five dead persons, Ole…and they will be reincarnated. This is your chance."  "Death is the gateway to rebirth”
