Chapter Two

I answered the phone call and I heard a low voice of a man that definitely annoys me.
"Hey! 10-25 here at 10-100." that is what he said. That means there is a meeting in the office.
"10-4" I replied. I said yes or copy.
"10-39" he added. He said hurry.
"Duh" I irritatedly said.
I picked some of my shirts and jeans. I packed them nicely in my back pack before changing my clothes.
I am wearing a simple plain grey skinny longsleeves shirt and black skinny jeans partnered with my black nike shoes. I also put my jacket on top of my longsleeves shirt and put on my sun glasses.
I ran to the parking lot, put on my helmet and rode on my motorcyle. It was not a long ride before I reached my destination.
I am in front of a police station. I opened the gate and walked beside the building. At the back of the building for the police station, I saw a house that looks like old. That is where I'll go. I opened the door, in front of me is a sofa facing the same direction as I am. There is a television in front of that sofa. On the right side was the table with computers, finger-print detector, 3d printer and other gadgets are located. On the left was the mini kitchen with the gas stove and a sink beside it. There is a window 3 meters above the gas stove. High? It is for protection. The comfort room is on the right facing the mini-kitchen. Other than those, what caught my attention was two men sitting on the sofa and watching Detective Conan while eating pop corns. I slowly went at their back and strike their nape.
"Ouchy, Butterfly!" The guy who called me a while ago complained.
"Hi, butterfly! You just arrived and you are already mad?" The other one said.
"Oh, should I laugh because you, two, are watching Conan while the door is unlocked and anyone can enter without you noticing it? If I am not the one who entered that door, you two are possibly dead by now." I said with a hint of annoyance.
The guys who called me is Spider and the other guy is Bee. Those are codenames of course. We don't know each others real names. Spider is older than me about 2 years while Bee is younger than me for about 2 years. We call each other with our code names all the time.
Spider turned off the television after hearing what I said.
"Think about this, Butterfly. If we locked that up. You can't be inside right now." Bee even justified.
"Ugh, you two are so annoying." I said while putting my bag inside a cabinet. "Anyways, what are we talking about? You said I should hurry and when I arrived I'll be seeing you eating popcorn in front of the television? I'll go slowly next time you'll ask me to hurry up." I retorded.
"What? You told her to hurry up. Oh, no way, dude!" Bee is annoyed with Spider.
"Uhmm, Butterfly, there is nothing so urgent and I am sorry to rush you going here. We just wanted someone to stay here for the night because we will go home." Spider explained. Anger is evident in my face but I just brushed it off. I just wanted to rest. I am also glad that there is nothing urgent, nothing worrisome.
"Well, i think I will just be staying here for tonight. I do not want to go home anymore. It is too late already." Bee said.
"Okay, I'll be staying also." Spider said. "The phone, telephone, and radio is on and we will wait for a call of emergency anytime."
"Okay, so no work, no reason to stay here. What will we gonna do then?" I asked.
"Let us do riddles before sleeping." Bee suggested.
"That sounds good." I said and sat with them in the sofa.
"I'll go first." Spider voluntereed. " Its first letter is A, Its last letter is A, its whole is an A, And reading it forward and backward the same."
"A? Kiddin'" Bee answered while chuckling.
I am trying to think about it thoroughly. I have an answer in my mind but I doubt it a little. "Ana? No, I'm jokin'" I answered.
"Yes, You are right! Lame riddle, haha. Anyway, it is your turn, Butterfly." Spider is happy.
"This one's easy. What is the center of Gravity?" I asked.
"Are you a scientist?" Spider jokingly stated.
"Basic! It is letter V." Bee answered confidently. He is right.
"Arrogant Mammal! It's your turn." I said.
"This one, what can you swallow that can also swallow you?"
"Pig?" I ain't sure.
"Stupid. That must be water. Am I right?" Spider proudly answered.
"Yes, bro! You got it." Bee confirmed it.
Spider gave another riddle. "What seven letters will you say upon opening an empty piggy bank?"
"Empty? Oh no, it is just five. No money?" Bee is guessing frustratedly.
There is this answer in my mind that is not yet full. "I C U R M T. Its just six. O I C U R M T? I'm right?" I answered hapilly because I'm sure I got it right. He nodded so I fired another riddle for them. "Hihi here you go. A word contains five syllables, take away one and not one remains."
"Huh? Is that even possible, Butterfly?" Spider asked.
"Of course, duh? Think about it." I told him.
Bee is thinking seriously and so is Spider. Even if they are thinking deeply, that is not evident in their faces.
"Monosyllable" He answered with seriousness. "That is right, hmm? Whaaaa. That is Monosyllable." Spider said while shaking me. He is super happy, ugh!
"Yes, it is. Spider, Ouch! Stop it. Your answer is correct." I complained.
"How? I don't get it." Bee got irritated.
"Nevermind about that, its my turn now." Spider excitedly said. "Aunt Mabel has four daughters. Each daugther has a brother, but no father. How many are there in the family including Uncle Bill and wife?"
"Is it 11?" I asked.
"No it isn't." Spider replied.
"7! The wife of Uncle Bill is Aunt Mabel." Bee exclaimed. Oh yah, I didn't thought of that.
"Wrong!" Spider said. Huh? That is not the correct answer?
"Oh, it is 8." It is Bee again. "Aunt Mabel is one, her four daughters makes it five, their brother makes it six, and uncle bill and his wife makes it 8. Haha! I knew it. They don't have a father!"
"Yeah, you got it bro." Spider said.
"Okay! So it is now my turn. I have four legs that cannot move. And a head that walks away. I have two leaves that do not grow. Though I've food three times a day." Bee said.
"Gosh! Wait is that?" I frustatedly said.
"Is a dog? Or a what?" Spider tried to guess.
"That is hard, dude! I mean, leaves that do not grow?" I complained. "Is it-- a wait!" I should know the answer.
"Is that some kind of a plant?" Spider asked a hint.
"No man" Bee answered him.
"A food? A platter of raw ingredients?" I guessed.
"No, Butterfly!" Bee said laughing.
"Oh my!" I stand up upon realizing it. I already know it. "Dining Table. Man!"
"You got it. I thought I'll be saying the answer since you can't think anymore." Bee beamed.
"Okay, here this out. Big at the top, little below, with the center as cold as snow." I gave a riddle once more.
"A house?" Be tried answering.
"A cone-shaped snow?" Spider asked.
"No! Both Wrong." I answered them.
"What else are cold cones? Oh, an ice cream cone." Spider said. He got that one.
"Yeah, dude. Anyways, I think we should be sleeping already. I have a class tomorrow." I said.
"Yeah, I think that's right." Bee said.
They started preparing their bed. They pulled the sofa to be transformed into a bed. I got my blanket and went to a room here. This is where I'll sleep. We sometimes allow other people sleep in this room when they need extra protection. I lay down after I'm done preparing my bed. I need to sleep already. I was able to doze off after a few seconds.
