I heard a faint whisper, calling me up from my deep sleep. As my heavy eyes struggled to open, I had to rub it twice or thrice before I could see who it was. My heart skipped a beat as I saw the dirty blonde hair guy with ocean blue eyes and those freckles that couldn’t be forgotten.
“Elijah,” I called out, almost on the verge of choking on my tears. “Why did you leave?”
Before I could ask him more questions and process it fully, a feminine voice interrupted me.
“Summer. It’s me.” The voice whispered.
It took me a few moments before disappointment hit in. By the second time I rubbed my eyes, my senses were fully back so it didn’t take long for me to realize it wasn’t him but Yvonne.
