I woke up to the sound of notifications coming again and again. Annoyed, I tilted to my side to keep it on silent when I read a few of them. Oh s**t. I got up in a flash and checked it all. Numerous missed calls from Yvonne and my family. It was when it hit me - I hadn’t talked to them for two nights. They must be so worried. I had also gotten numerous texts and three missed calls from an unknown number. When I opened it, it turned out to be Chantal who had spammed me out of concern. Cursing myself for being so irresponsible, I hurriedly called them all back. It took me about an hour and half to be all done and sorted.
