KURT SMILED AS HE WATCHED the car drive down the road and then disappear around the corner. The phone call had worked, just as he had been sure it would; it made him glad he had gone to the effort of finding DI Stone’s mobile number - it hadn’t actually required much effort on his part, he had simply paid someone he met in prison, someone who knew a lot more about computers than he did. He waited until Stone’s car was out of sight, and then he waited for another five minutes. When he was confident Stone wasn’t going to be coming back in the immediate future, he got to his feet and left the garden where he had been hiding. It took him less than a minute to reach Stone’s house, and once there he set about the next step in his plan for revenge on those responsible for the loss of his family,
