Chapter Seven
The next morning she found a moment to speak to Sophie.
“I have something to confess.”
Sophie looked at her quizzically.
“Last night, after I was used by the Emir, I was too aroused to sleep. So I gave myself relief.”
Sophie was quiet for a moment. Then she spoke sternly. “A deliberate and defiant breach of an instruction is a serious matter.”
“Yes, I know. I’m sorry.”
“You will be punished. As it happens, I have arranged for another session with the training assistant tomorrow. He is going to beat you. I shall explain to him that you have been disobedient, and that he is to take that into account when administering discipline. I shall order him to be especially severe.”
Caroline paled. “It was a first offence,” she said. “It won’t happen again.”
